Silent Hill 2 PC

@mrk Some great information and links you have posted in this thread. Thanks for doing so.
I don't wish to go through all the content, don't want spoilers, having just bought the game.
But did you find any particular "gotta have" in terms of settings or mods that enhanced your play experience..?

Playing at 4k with my humble, but extraordinarily good, 4080 :D

Thanks Mark.

Basically just run max everything and use DLSS. The last patch sorted out the frametime/stutter issues for the most part so can now just leave it on all max etc.

So how's the "12gb" of vram going lol? I just got a 4070 super (bad idea according to most on here) and sh2 was gonna be one of my first purchases All the big time charlies with their 4090's complaining about stutter made me think twice though.

Had my 4070 Ti for around a year now. Apart from in a few games where frame generation not being usable due to a lack of vram, everything has been sweet :D

But in 2025 you really do want 16GB minimum imo.

Yeah having a bit of a crisis having just bought the 4070s. Think I might be dropping down from ultra to high in some stuff sooner than expected unfortunately.

Yeah. Unfortunately it is to be expected at this point. Not had to drop any settings myself thankfully. Just FG sometimes which I am fine with.

Just think even fsr3 is not up to it compared to dlss so as I much as I want the extra vram on amd I went with the super. Hopefully it wasn't a mistake lol.

I guess you will find out in the next 12-24 months. In latest stuff 12GB in some games will start feeling very tight imo. But will probably fine in most new games.
