Silent Hill 2 PC

HDR Settings seem different in this. Starts at 500 for max luminance. Should be 1000. Any particular reason?

Also mid luminance is set at 50 which does not seem right.

Min luminance is -9. Wtf?

Wondering if I should use my PS5 controller or K&M. When I launched steam suggested I should use the controller for best experience, so went with that. Seems good for exploring so far.

Got to the first race point and left it there for now.

Got to the 2nd save point. Had my first jump scare. Was actually falling half asleep when it happened. Woke me right up. Lol.

I've completely fixed the black floor lift in this game without any mods btw in HDR by simply spending some time figuring out the optimum HDR ingame settings so no need for reshade, plus I dislike reshade :p

Do share!

Never have I seen someone build up an uninterrupted combo of eight posts straight in one thread.
It's like watching someone talk to themselves

@TNA Thoughts on the game?

Personally I really enjoyed it. As said previously towards the end it starts to drag a little and seems to go on and on but after I finished it, it definitely left it's mrk on me.

He left it on me also with his beta testing and screenshots :p

Not played enough to say tbh.

This is another example of a game I don't need to bother playing because I've seen the whole bloody thing through screenshots.

Ok not quite, plus I thought this was the Indiana Jones thread lol.

Why would you say this without an explanation of how or what settings you've used? Lol

Are you guys a bit drunk? I even replied before to you on this lmao.

You even reacted to it

This is for HDR TB400 mode so refine them if you're on Peak 1000. I'm all about accuracy and tonal range so TB400 for all HDR on the 32" whereas Peak 1000 on the 34" AW didn't have the range issue the 32 does.

Lol. Just found the post. Dude that was back in October! Since then so much has happened in my life, how the **** you expect me to remember that post :p

I do however clearly remember you giving me loads of reasons why you won't be upgrading your 4090. So I suppose I can see why you may think I should remember this also :p

Will give your HDR Settings a go tomorrow night :D

Is the perf. sorted for this now then? IIRC, on launch, it was pretty bad with the usual UE issues?

I am getting around 60fps maxed out with DLSS on Performance.

Tried FG which was a poor implementation. I saw shimmering around the characters head as you moved around.

I have yet to update the DLSS files though and not sure what it shipped with.

Actually I just remembered, fps was capped to 60 for some reason so probably why FG looked crap.

What was awesome though was the card power draw dropped to around 90W when I turned FG on :D
