Singapore Grand Prix 2010, Marina Bay Street Circuit - Race 15/19

I'm not sure.

Kimi has the "I don't care" attitude. Perhaps if they brought him in and they told him that we are hiring you for you to teach Vettel some tricks and pass on your wealth of experience to him and that you must do whatever it takes, to help Vettel...Kimi may go for it.

The impression I get is that Kimi, doesnt care, so the question is if he is asked to move out of Vettel's way, will he obey?

Heh I fully agree on his 'i dont care' attitude but I would have thought it would work against him there. This year was to be Vettels coming of age so the team cant think he has much more to learn. Kimi loves to race and loves to win, I can only see Red Bull offering the former of the 2. Its not like hes advancing through the ranks and will do anything for his big break, I think he will only return if hes given a genuine chance of success. I would really like to see him back as I feel on his day he was the fastest driver on the track (not the complete package but he really did have speed) but I cant see it being Red Bull. Not sure what happened to the Renault rumours but I guess those depend on Kubica, but they seem ot be on the up and could be a good move for him.

Not ruling it out though, it may well be on the cards - although both Red Bull drives have longish contracts and dont seem to want to go anywhere else - could change by the end of the season. If hes going to come back then it should be in the next couple seasons if he still wants a shot at one of the big seats.

i am desperate for button to retain his title, i always support the British teams and drivers.

i CAN NOT stand Ferrari and i have a bit of a hatred for horner and his questionable tactics. Vettel realy aggravated me with his finger waging and crazy head gestures.

Saying that if button is not going to get it and putting aside my dislike for the team i would be chuffed for Webber to take this title. Generally nice guy who has HAD to make Red bull sit up and take notice despite (in there eyes) being a clear number 2 to there german messiah

... i have a bit of a hatred for horner and his questionable tactics. ...

At the start of the season I had nothing again Horner. He was in charge of RedBull who were doing a fantastic job.

But then, he started favouring Vettel...again nothing wrong with that. But the lies. Oh the lies. To lie so blatantly on national TV, stating that he allows his drivers to drive without any team orders makes idiots out of the viewers. I wouldn't mind if the viewers knew he was lying, but most people actually believe what he is saying.

I absolutely love it when Eddie Jordan jumps down Horner's throat, everytime Horner attempts to say that his team do not issue team-orders and that Vettel is not being given any preferential treatment.

I liked Ferrari's approach where, they stuck 2 fingers at the FIA and their poxy rule and did what all the other teams do (incognito).

At the end of the day if Horner wants to, he can come out and say that in his opinion, Vettel is the top driver and for the sake of the team and drivers' championship, he will give Vettel preferential treatment (just like all No.1 drivers in past years have been given).

I lay what happened in Turkey solely on the shoulders of Horner and poor management.

For me, Ferrari, have by far, the best management. They know exactly how to handle their drivers and show a united front.

LOL.

By the way, who is it who calculates the odds for the bookies? Do they have in-house statisticians?

PR bloke from Coral used to a regular slot on TalkSport Radio and this was one of the things that came up.

They employ "odds compilers" whose job it is to come up with these. They usually have a team of them in house, all specialising in their own field, and usually with a lead one who has the final say.

Must remind you that Kimi was'nt a member of the GP Drivers Association, and remember his reaction at the Malaysian GP in '09 - he walked off, had his ice-cream and couldn't give a stuff about anyone else.

Make no mistake, Kimi is only concerned about one person - Kimi. There's no way he would be interested in passing on his knowledge.

I know that Vettel is not liked on these forums, but the guy is not far away from Hamilton/Alonso in terms of ability.

Vettel is miles off Alonso and Hamilton even Button. How many times do you think Webber would out qualify Alonso or Hamilton in a season in the best and fastest car on the grid.

None.

He makes far too many errors under pressure and in the best car this is the 2nd season in a row he should have been world champion.

If Hamilton or Alonso had been driving this years Red Bull webber wouldn't have won a race and the title would have been a walkover the likes we haven't seen since MS dominated.

Whats it going to take for Vettel to be champion, a team mate worse than webber and a second per lap advanatge all season long? Hell even when he had a second per lap advantage he couldn't get the job done consistently.

Then next year he will be in a car with no Kers mileage. If mclaren or ferrari aren't heading the pack next year I will eat that hat you was supposed to eat.

LH will keep on driving the way he does - and maybe even more aggressively (through any traffic) , I wont be surprised at all if he comes a croper again before the end of the season somehow (even if it isnt race finishing)

Thats his one big problem, he doesnt seem to evaluate the risk involved properly, (and if anything nearly everyone else can afford to chop him up a little as they are significantly ahead, he HAS to push to gain on everyone else).

Wouldnt be surprised if JB beats him on points in the final standings (even if the bookies think otherwise by a fair margin)

That's not what the bookies say though. They say Hamilton has more of a chance at winning the chanpionship.

I agree with both you and the bookies. I think Hamilton has a better chance at the championship but at the same time Jenson's consistency gives him a good chance at getting more points.

I'm hoping it doesn't go down to the final race, for fear that it could lead to "so long as X beats Y then X wins first corner shenanigans"

We all know how that's panned out in the past *cough Schumacher cough*

You know this will result in Massa aiming for anything in silver & blue at the first corner then claiming his eyesight went due to last years accident.

The only reason why Vettel isn't leading the title race right now is because of the 2 car breakages he suffered in the first 2 races of the season

And for the record, I firmly believe that Vettel will finish ahead of Webber in 2010.

and nothing to do with driving into the side of Jenson's car at Spa...etc. etc. etc. :D

Eh? Massa has never done anything questionable...even when he was partnering a driver who was gunning for the world title.
