Moyes being in charge of Everton at the weekend isn't surprising is it though? He will be there until the end of the season surely?

Moyes? Really?

Anyone else find it a little underwhelming?

That's not to comment on what I think of Moyes as a manager nor his ability if he gets the job.

A little, yes, but I can see why he's been chosen and we should all get behind him and wish him the best.

Either that or he'll have to leave after the West Ham game because of how the NYSE works and the company being on there... so Monday morning he could be gone.

It's already done. Kenwright won't say so until it's officially confirmed though.

Yep pretty much, Football Focus special have said that it'll be announced tomorrow either morning or afternoon.

Sir Alex said it was important to leave club in 'strongest possible shape'

pffft..

rooney leaving would be the first visible crack

That depends on who comes in this summer. Rooney hasn't looked good this season. Glimpses of the player but nothing more. Cash in on him while we can and buy some top quality players in the middle. You have obviously forgotten about Welbeck as well; Rooney who.

Irrelevant of wishing him the best and his ability and that jazz, I find him a little underwhelming, I mean, with all the management ability in World Football and David Moyes is given the job of replacing Ferguson :o.

Stories about Wayne Rooney asking for a transfer are correct. Asked to see Ferguson two weeks ago, request was rejected #mufc

Hahaha, deary me!

I've no idea, but I know that they have to let them know before publicly announcing it to avoid insider trading and all that.

I don't know anything about the rules, but I'd have thought they can announce Moyes will replace Ferguson at date x, and that'd be fine.

Yeah they can say that... but I mean they can't announce the change before they tell the NYSE... so they can't do it now because it's closed and it opens up at 2:30PM our time.

Cant say as I am overly impressed if it's Moyes who comes in. Where we have failed to live upto our domestic dominance is in Europe and im not sure Moyes record stands upto scrutiny. That said what he has done, achieved and standards that have been set will always make the job of his successor a tough one.

Utd fans will get behind him eventually.
