Ancelotti could've been another scary 20 years

Never really understood why Chelsea sacked him. Well, aside from Chelsea being Chelsea...

Only in the same way things pointed towards numerous other candidates. Eg. Back before many fails, Hughes and O'Neill... before people woke up, Mourinho... etc. Moyes was just one name in a long list of possible candidates, over the years .

I'm sure there were many considerations, but SAF has, at least over the past few years, very much taken a liking to him. He obviously sees a younger version of himself, something other possible candidates wouldn't really have going for them.

Straightforward(ish): RA demanded winning with beautiful football + success of his pet signing Shevchenko, JM did'nt want Shevchenko at all and wanted to win his way. Results dipped (partly because all the decent wide players were sold) and JM deeply resented the interference and presence of Shevchenko. Row between RA and JM ensues, and owner trumps manager.

The biggest problem is RA is essentially a spoiled brat who came to football incredibly late and has never experience supporting a club with little to no hope of winning things, it would probably have been better if Chelsea had failed more in the RA era, then he might be more accepting of 'winning ugly.'

Cant really disagree with anything you have said, my opinion is pretty much the same. RA just interferes far too much in Chelsea when things arent going so well...surprisingly i havent heard him interfering with Rafa this season when he was put in charge but i suppose theres not much he can do. After all Chelsea could very well win the Europa league Cup so that will make it 2 Euro cups wins in a row also they should get 3rd or 4th depending on the results this weekend but i think they have 3rd pretty much nailed on now.

I'm an Arsenal supporter. But for some bizarre reason, I'm sad to see Fergie go...

Same here, as much i never liked Fergie it will be really weird not seeing him at Utd in the dugout, pointing at his watch wanting more FERGIE time added:p:D. But 26 yrs he has been there and to me he was Utd all the way through, thats some major achievement along with the 20 odd titles hes won for Utd.
Moyes as i said before has one hell of a job filling those shoes of Fergies...i think Utd fans will give him next season to prove himself other than running man aka NickG but its the next 4-5 yrs that will be interesting to see if Moyes can win some titles of his own and other trophies.

He was talking about Ancelotti and RA demanded beautiful football? Something about Chelsea has always been boring as **** to watch unelss Drogba was being a beast and not a ****.

oops, sorry! only paid attention to the posts following and thought it was about Mourinho.

Ancelotti was simply 'not good enough' by the extreme expectations and a scapegoat for Torres being garbage, so it was a good excuse to try the AVB experiment.

I'm slightly surprised that it's "only" 99, I thought that over 26 years he'd have signed a few more than that but I guess it does average out to almost 4 per year. If it was me I think there'd have been a temptation just to go for a nice round 100 though.

What an idiotic rating system, Nani, the premierships joint 8 highest all time assist maker gets 6 out of ten, Angelo Henriquez, not kicked a ball in anger 5 out of ten.

Wayne Rooney, the premier leagues 5 highest assisting player of all time and 6th highest premier league goal scorer of all time 8 out of ten.

Nani is the 8th highest assister in the PL?

He's frustrating as hell but that aint bad for a player who's only been in the league since 2007

Why are @Everton retweeting the tweet from United about Steele and Phelan leaving?! Keeping us updated about United but not the club they're supposed to!
