Is that a wired test? If so, could you go into the router page (192.168.0.1 username admin password sky), into the wireless, disable the wireless access point, apply the change and run the test again?
Pretty much. Wireless G will struggle to match fibre speeds and the way the router works means that if a single G device connects it'll work on G only, not on N. Try changing the wireless password via cable (add a letter or number to the end), disconnect the cable, forget the network on your MacBook, reconnect with the new PW and try the test again?

I find using maidenhead xilo server for a speedtest gives the best result and is most likely correct. although wireless is dire as reported already, wired for speedtests.
live day for me today. Will stick my SR102 on to get started later today, then going to piggyback it on my billion 7800dxl for the great wireless coverage. Unfortunately the 7800dxl doesn't do fibre on it's own.
I moved into a flat on 30th April and had Sky Broadband installed the next day on 1st May. The internet has not been working since and every time we ring Sky we get told it's an openreach problem and will be fixed in 72 hours. We have probably rang about 10 times now and still the same crap. Absolutely awful service. Is there somewhere or someone I can complain to about this?
Due to move in aorund 3 weeks and the new place has Sky fibre available when i an currently on Sky unlimited...
Wondering if I can put it all through and upgrade to fibre while doing the house move or would I have to move the service I have currently and then upgrade once that all goes live?
As much as my nom de plume would suggest, I am, in fact, a he. It's also true that, unaware as I was at the time of signing up, there is indeed a Mischief who is a lady.
