That's an ADSL checker... Which gives me inaccurate information on my current broadband. Nothing about FTTC.

Your exchange is ADSL enabled, and our initial test on your line indicates that your line should be able to have an ADSL broadband service that provides a fixed line speed up to 2Mbps.
Our test also indicates that your line currently supports an estimated ADSL Max broadband line speed of 5.5Mbps; typically the line speed would range between 4Mbps and 8Mbps.
Our test also indicates that your line currently supports an estimated ADSL2+ broadband line speed of 12.5Mbps; typically the line speed would range between 10.5Mbps and 14.5Mbps. Our test also indicates that your line could support an estimated ADSL 2+ Annex-M broadband upstream line speed of 1Mbps and downstream line speed of 12.5Mbps; typically the downstream speed would range between 10.5Mbps and 14.5Mbps.
Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a fibre technology with an estimated WBC FTTC Broadband where consumers have received downstream line speed of 53.9Mbps and upstream line speed of 15.7Mbps.
The actual stable line speed supportable will be determined during the first 10 days of use. This speed may change over time, to ensure line stability is maintained.
If you decide to place an order, a further test will be performed to confirm if your line is suitable for the service you wish to purchase.
Thank you for your interest.

Possibly because isn't enabled. It gives information on fibre when I use it:
I know it's not enabled. That's my problem! lol!! My cabinet isn't upgraded yet, but streets surrounding me have theirs upgraded and have been getting Fibre for at least 4-6 months.
Curse openreach.
How long have people had to wait for Sky Fibre after BT have gone live with fibre?
BT started taking orders about 3 weeks ago but Sky still do not have a date.
If the cab is planned, the BT wholesale checker should give a speed estimate.
Weeks to months.
There's a review of the Sky Hub @ http://www.thinkbroadband.com/hardware/reviews/77-sky-router.html
BT left my house a second ago as well. Gone from 5mb to:
Modem Status Connected
DownStream Connection Speed 40001 kbps
UpStream Connection Speed 1997 kbps
Everything is lightening quick. When will my upload go up to 10mb?
I wonder if it's a just a bunch of MACs on an allow list ala sticky port security?
Anyone know how MER actually works? Is the BT modem a passthrough device of sorts?
My go live is end of this month. Naturally, I'm not expecting it to work first time![]()
Just checked, upload from 1.7 to 8.5 with no powering off of equipment. Does the fibre connection still have a learning phase like ADSL?

Not too shabby.
Dear Mr ********,
Thank you for your interest in our Fibre Broadband deployment. We are deploying one of the fastest and largest commercial deployments in the world. Our commercial deployment will have extended to 66% of the UK by the end of December 2014. We aim extend this to 90% of the UK, in partnership with other sources of funding, e.g. local and National government.
I can confirm that you are connected to Stevenage cab 99, however, our deployment is based on the commercial criteria for each cabinet and yours fails to meet the commercial criteria. This is because the cabinet is too small to provide a return on the investment based on the costs for the construction and on-going running costs of providing a new FTTC cabinet.
Where cabinets are not commercially viable Government funding is available to county and borough councils and if you can, it is worth registering your interest on your local county or borough council website
You may also wish to lobby your local councillor on progress in your local area. You can also register your interest on the Openreach website at; http://www.openreachfibrebroadband.co.uk/where-and-when/default.aspx
I appreciate it is frustrating but we are deploying Fibre Broadband on a commercial basis and are not able to provide service to your PCP on that basis
