Still wireless.
I do wonder if/when they enable the powerline network how much that will affect peoples existing AV homeplugs!
Still wireless.
Powerline connectivity is available now I believe.
Powerline connectivity is available now I believe.
If you went into the engineers setup menu, it's been there for months.
What benefit does this bring, other than having to plug it in via a normal powerline?
Does sky q use your broadband bandwidth? Had a look on skys site and they offer 10mb-20mb in my area which is ok if the majority of tv isn't using the connection.
Right now, only if you are using on demand services, such as catch up or box sets.
You also need broadband to work in order for the mini-boxes to function. Not sure why.
How long were you canceled from sky?
Responded.A few more Q questions/remarks .. after playing with parents new install, for first time, today:
- no series link on (bbc) radio programs (somewhat a casualty of lost manual recording, I guess)you should be able to series link radio I think.
- contrast/highlight on selected item in gui is poor , no obvious way to improve it (re-skin) more options including high contrast coming again later this year.
- no program reminder option ( like my humax has had for years ) where it switches viewed program, as opposed to, just an option to schedule recording. It's been requested and will likely make a reappearance at some point.
- (a general satellite question) is the sound bitrate higher on the HD (sky&freesat) channels, compared to SD variant ? ... for the elderly ears. Sound on Sky cinema has certainly changed but I don't think anything has changed on normal channels.
EDIT: forgot one - lack of A-Z search of upcoming shows in guide. General search should show on demand, recordings and shows on in the next week.
