*** Sky TV Cancellation & Negotiation Thread ***

We've just put our cancellation notice through, all done it on live chat but Angela truly was a cheeky...

We pay £112.40p/m and got offered in the end 25% off the entertainment pack and £3 off our line rental which would have brought the cost down to around £94p/m. Just not good enough in all honesty especially when we have Sports etc but they take nothing from that.

Will see if we get any offers on our account in the meantime, how many days does that usually take to show up?

I got a 50% off offer in my sky account within 2 minutes of ending live chat.It seems to vary though...

That was broadband etc included in that...still excessive I know, that's why I'm hoping to sort it out!

@Uther I take it this offer shows in the left sky in the last 12 months section? All I can see there currently is "Sorry we can't process your order online" when I click it.

Was sick of waiting for an offer, chanced it on a live chat and got 50% off the full packages for movies, sports etc now.

Essentially £84.40 p/m now but of course around £42 of that is taken up by Broadband/Line Rental/Talk Plan right now.
 
called up and given my cancellation earlier today. Been with sky 5 years now. Nothing in my sky yet for any offers.

Let's see how much they want a £90+ a month customer. Otherwise I'm long gone
 
I'm with Sky but cancelled a few weeks ago, they have offered me 50% off any Sky package but I was wondering if I accepted the offer but on the full TV package, if I upgraded to SkyQ a few weeks after, will the discount still be applied?

Nope, sorry. Only specific Sports or Movies discounts are transferable.
 
Quick question for those who have left Sky before. What do I do with the equipment? Like the wire that leads to the dish going along the skirting boards? Do you just take away the Sky box and leave the wires?
 
Well it turns out my TV Deal and Broadband was cancelled seperately...we've accepted the 50% off TV for 12 months but have now been offered free line rental for 12months to stay with Sky Broadband, that will see us save an additional £17.40p/m bringing our monthly total down to £67.00p/m.

Got to be happy with that!
 
Just got a load of rubbish deals on chat/phone so cancelled. Instantly I had the 50% off on the website so went with that. They've processed it but it doesn't show what my bill is actually going to be yet. How long does this take?
