*** Sky TV Cancellation & Negotiation Thread ***

I called win back directly (number on the returns letter) and got my above too easily, suggesting I could have got another 5 or so off without much back and forth if I'd tried.

Basically said I wanted to go back to what I used to pay, they said I can see that was 53 (or something), I said that was after the price rose and it was more like 42 and they said oh yes going back further I can see that, sure you can match that.

Looking back further again I realised we used to pay 37 before that so was a little annoyed I didn't start there but got movies and UHD added in cheap so a little bit of value gained back.
I had the full package with UHD multiroom etc, only TNT Sports excluded, and was about £40. I dont think I will get that back. But then again I have been away for a few months and havent missed it tbh.

Legitimate question - given the limited amount of content you get with the UHD content, is it really worth it? I'm kind of mulling the idea of cutting the cord; I think I could probably quite happily make do with paying for Netflix, Disney, Paramount and Max when it becomes available at the end of next year and just be paying much less.

I used UHD more for sports tbh. Didnt really use it for anything else, was just a nice to have.

UHD is crap on sky, you have to download it all each episode. Unless I have missed something.
There are only two permanently HD channels, Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports F1 AFAIK. There are lots of other individual shows and channels that offer UHD periodically or via the red button or via download.

We have Now TV for Entertainment £3.99 and Movies £7.99 but my son has asked for Sky Sports for Christmas. We still have a dish fitted to the house would it be more cost effective to get Sky Q and have it under one package? Or what's the cheapest way to get Sky sports?

^ Not always from some people have said I believe? ie: How sure are you of this? Or am I thinking of if you phone up and cancel?

AARRRRRGHHHH.
Sky are so infuriating!!

So we logged into our business bank account last night to see a direct debit set up for £205 for Sky Subscriptions.
As a Courier company we have zero need for sky so this is obviously fraudulant.

Can we tell sky this? Nope
5 different phone calls and they still insist on having our private sky account.. One department nearly cancelled our private sub.

Does anyone have a number of a UK based call centre for them.

I've cancelled the DD but I dont want to have to be checking this every month for a new DD.

Help!!!!!
