*** Sky TV Cancellation & Negotiation Thread ***

Just noticed my Sky Q subscription for the basic TV and HD has jumped from £26 up to about £40. Quick Google and I can see Stream is available for £15 a month so brilliant, I'll call them up and swap over to that. Only to be told £15 is only for new customers, I get to pay £18 for the privilege..... I eventually agree to it only to be told I then need to pay £39.99 for the box as an existing customer which was the last straw so I've cancelled. They weren't able to match the online price for new customers which was mental.

I'll now wait to see if I get the usual phone call asking me to come back (31 day notice period) and if not I'll look to sign up as a new customer.

Absolute madness, they were getting £26 a month from me and that could have continued for all I cared. They also offer the product I want for £15 but can't sell it to me at that price.
I am getting my Sky Q subscription for the basic TV and HD for £12.50 per month for 18 months , HD is free

I've had Sky Stream for a few weeks now and I have to say, it's been faultless since it did a software update. I haven't had any of the reported issues. It is cabled to a decent FTTP connection, not sure how much poor wifi has with the reported issues. With that said, I don't use it that often, mainly for Football and the odd TV programme. Streamed Day of the Jackel and a few others with no problems.

Same connection as I have wired & FTTP, hopefully you only have a good experience. Given time I have my doubts. NOW TV with Apple TV has been a superb experience so far.
