Skyrim remastered free for pc if you own skyrim already

Decided to start a new character after putting my level 50 Breton/Conjurer/Vampire Lord to rest.
I'm currently a level 10 Imperial/Warrior/Werewolf, and I've just acquired Hircine's Ring for unlimited transformations!

Anyone with 21:9 monitors that has the bugged menus here is a fix

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1721/?

just tried it and can now see full menu when in shops etc.

Thanks :), just going to fav all the available mods and install the much needed ones before I finally start a new play through. NMM offline at the minute due to server loads.

Decided to go with a light armour, sword and bow based character. Don't think i'll be using much magic stuff as it never really interested me apart from the healing spells.

Tried starting a new game on this tonight but all I'm met with is crashes. Original doesn't do this, so hopefully they fix this issue soon.

Well...four hours in, two random crashes, shed loads of horrible bugs that were there in the original and haven't gone away. Fun though!

Loads of flickering water and even full screens. Weird swimming bug when in caves.

Decided I'd play it for a bit this weekend to see how it is in comparison... 15 hours played... lol

Looks nice imo, maybe not as good as mods could sometimes look, but previously I got so fed up with slightly incompatible mods, or certain things being bugged out. Last time I modded the original game I had it looking great outside, but no matter what I tweaked it was pitch black inside which just made it pointless. The new lighting adds a lot and the textures look nowhere near as bad as the comparison video at the start of this page make out for me.

Got myself the Spellbreaker Shield and Mace of Molag Bal. Awesome combo :D

Sounds like you used one of the realistic lighting mods. I don't like them either. Who cares how much light a torch would realistically give out if it means you cant see anything. The one I used you could tweak the interior lighting, or change it back to vanilla, which I think is what I did.

flickering water is usually a sign of high frame rates.. i had this when i first booted up but limited my fps to 59 with riva tuner and it went away.

Not sure if this is related, but I played the game for 10 hours solid without crashes and since installing 21:9 mod (ver 1.3) it's crashed twice when transitioning between loading areas (outside to inside etc)

I have not had any crashes yet and played a few hours last night. although i have only used maybe the first version and have not updated it.

I'm hoping to play the SE version tonight for the first time, dose this look better than the original with the free High Resolution Texture DLC Pack?

Have you tried playing it with the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch?

Thanks for this, no native support or SKYUI has put me off starting this again, really want to do another play through but with the default UI it gets tedious fast.

There is an earlier version 2.2, that works well, but missing later options.

I've played this now for hours, with a few mods, zero crashes, runs fantastic.
I'm even running at 1440P via DSR and so far getting a solid 60fps with my OC'd 780Ti.
