Surely Tevez doesn't really have any "off-field" earnings as I presumed it was illegal for that face to be on TV adverts etc so that's just wages? :p

Nah, Tevez has a nice sideline in plastic surgery adverts, he's the before picture and someone completely different is the after. :p

LOL:p...shouldnt laugh as he was scarred due to an accident...10 yrs old and he accidently poured a kettle of boiling hot water over himself :/...

I think he looked like that at birth, and the "accident" was his mum trying to improve his face, with boiling water.

£570,000 a week, absolutely insane. It's just unfathomable.

It is and its no surprise that he wont anywhere anytime soon...Barca have something like a £100mill+ get out clause:eek:...hes far too important for them to let him go...if any team in the world could afford him it would be Real but my god i hope they dont get him...

£570k a week for a few hrs a week of playing football:eek:...

It's not all his wages, he'll get a mental amount of money to wear Adidas boots and probably hundreds of other companies that just want to be involved with him and his image somehow.

My dad knew a pro who played for Wednesday when they were in the Prem, he said he'd get home most days to find about 5 - 10 cheques from random companies for anywhere between £100 - £1000, for doing nothing pretty much. And that was a rubbish Wednesday player.

Also Spaniards don't have to pay over 20% tax or so in their first 5 years in the country. He's been there longer though so not sure how his tax will work

Was reading about that clause this morning, just double checked it on Barca's site, €250 million it seems. Eesh.

That £570k figure will include all endorsements, sponsorships, image rights etc - it's his total earnings. Though yeah, it does make me wonder just how much City are paying Tevez

Aha, according to Yahoo - "Messi's salary is made up of a £9m basic wage, £3.6m in bonuses and a further £17.1m in personal endorsements. The Argentine has deals with companies including Adidas, Pepsi and Gillette."

Still no idea what you'd spend it on though..

LOL yep was about to post that to buy him you would have to pay something stupid like £250mill at least:eek:.

But saying that Barca have built their team around him and i really cannot see him going anywhere anytime soon...even if Barca start to flop in the La Liga....after all the investment they put into him ie growth therapy treatments they are reaping the benefits of his performances.

He'll stay there for his whole career, what is better than being Barca's best ever player? What a great legacy!

I doubt he'll be spending all that cash :p It'll probably make the next 5 generations of his family extremely comfortable though

On FM his buyout is something like 270 million pounds.

You used to be able to get him for about 40 million second season on Fm 09 because he'd always sign a new deal and his buyout would be stupidly low :p

Seriously, that much money? I have no idea what I'd spend it on.

He has another 10 years of earning to do too, makes me sad that he could probably rack up 1/4 of a billion over his career, easily.

Aye.

What would you spend that much on?

You spend most of your time playing football, training or travelling for games?

Surely your other half couldn't spend that much?

Can easily be done but he doesn't seem like the type so much. He seems more humble than the average footballer. However, I'm sure he spends a fair chunk of it on living like a king, then there's his family who he probably lavished in money, then save the rest for the future I guess.

He doesn't have to spend it all as soon as he gets it, as fun as that would be to get your pay check every Friday and make sure £500,000 is gone before you get your next :D
