Just leave well alone. One of you will have feelings, it's not worth the hassle and if you both genuinely liked each other like that you'd be together.

There's billions of other people out there - don't get hung up on one silly girl.
 
Was me that ended it as I'd fallen out of love with her and certain things she says/does get on my nerves. It must have only been a month since splitting I guess.
 
I was "buddies" with an ex for a while and when I got a GF and told her to back off she got really jealous and wouldn't stfu.

I loved it at the time but regretted it after, thinking back, It was probably worth it

The only downside is if someone gets more attached than the other.

Nothing wrong with **** buddies IMO - it's a healthy natural thing, and love & feelings don't always need to come into play at all. It's a physical thing, and urge a need and it's damned good fun and enjoyable to.

Go for it and have fun. :)
