I'd buy DDR4 now, the price just keeps going up. I picked up 32GB 2400MHz stuff a couple of weeks ago for £149, cheapest i can find now is £190+...

It's really worth getting at least 3000Mhz DDR4 - no point cheaping out on slow 2400Mhz stuff at this point, it's garbage that gimps your entire setup. Skylake and Zen absolutely love RAM speed.

That seems to be contrary to reports from some (staff) on here.

Ryzen 7 1700
Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3
8GB TeamGroup Dark 3000mhz C16

Should have probably gone for more ram but I wasn't planning on upgrading yet so it was an easy area to keep costs down, and I've not had issues yet with 8gb

AMD Ryzen 1800x
Crosshair VI Hero
Corsair Platinum Series 32GB (x2) 3000mhz

Gibbo you guys should get your payment processor in order (this is the 3 or 4th time I had some 3D verification error) other retailers accept it fine on the first try (including Caseking). Went through another e-retailer (sadly) because you guys had closed and I couldn't get a phone order in.

Damn , could not resist any more . Pre ordered!

1800x and a hero + some TG Dark Pro 3000 mem

Did want the gigabyte but lack of usb ports put me off.

Seriously thinking about Pre-ordering. I'll be upgrading my current rig of 2500k @ 4.1Ghz. Should be a worth while upgrade. The more I read and watch on these processors, the more I like!

I'm thinking of a 1700 but unsure on what MB. I'm currently on a GA-Z77-D3H which I hate, don't really want to go back on a Gigabyte MB.

Some people think with their money, not their mind.

Yeah, sure. Gibbo, who actually has the stuff, and tested it. And sells us it. I'm sure he is just thinking with his money (potential sales) when he says there is no point in forking out for more expensive, faster RAM.

Bit the bullet in the end:

MSI B350M Mortar AMD 350 (Socket AM4) DDR4 Micro ATX Motherboard
AMD Ryzen 7 Eight Core 1700 3.70GHz (Socket AM4) Processor - Retail
Team Group Vulcan T-Force 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-24000C16 3000MHz Dual Channel Kit

Not sure how soon after the 2nd they will arrive, but hey, we all need toys
