I am now getting on my own nerves, the 1800x, 1700x.,1700, asus crosshair and msi pro carbon have been in and out of my to buy basket so many times I'm now fed up and don't know what to buy

Is it only me or does pre ordering not seem slightly crazy considering if all the rumours are true, there's going to be quite a lot of competatitive repricing and restructuring between Intel and AMD in the next few months.

IMO there is every chance AMD will drop the price even lower once launched, just to stick an extra two fingers up at Intel.

I originally had the ASUS as my to buy, but switched to the MSI for it's early recognition of support for higher memory speeds, which should come with bios/microcode updates, and also because of the extra M2 slot. Configurable RGB lighting is also nice.
Honestly I like them both :)

Equally, prices could go up initially if demand is high.

This is the build I was considering in a few months :)

GPU is more a placeholder, I dub her the Stormtrooper build TK4802 :D

Set mobo RGB to white, the GPU would cover the M2 SSD. :D

now I'm undecided again 1700 and asus crosshair or msi pro carbon and 1700x both work out around £560ish, the 1700x would probably be better now and the asus crosshair might work out better in the long run when newer amd cpu's get released

This is my quick basket just to get an idea of price. Happy enough with that, use everything else I have from my current PC (hopefully corsair do something for the H105 I have so I don't have to get a new cooler) and get a Vegas when they come out to upgrade from my stop gap Fury.
