am somewhat disappointed. Was hoping for some mad eclipse like in the pitchblack film when the planet is plunged into darkness, but it was just like any other cloudy day in the south east

I do plan to go somewhere and get a totality set of pics at some point in life

But they must have scenery otherwise as cool as it looks. Is same as all others

Great shot Westfield what did you use to capture that? I used my phone and my telescope and also tried zooming in and using my glasses over my phone but didn't get as good pictures. I need a decent camera lol

Had 100% cloud cover where I am at work, didn't notice/see anything.

Canon SLR with 300mm lens (handheld), and then cropped.

Arthur C Clarke eat your heart out. Who needs expensive camera's when you've got a little point and click? ...... (Sony HX60V). Sunderland, sitting in my front room shooting through a gap in the clouds ....

Didn't get dark at all, 1999 was a far better eclipse.

I noticed it go colder and a bit dimmer, but I was expecting more to be honest.

I had everything set up and the sky was clear up until the moment and then thick dark clouds covered the sun and sky. What a disappointment.

To be honest I doubt whether I would have got a decent image anyway being new to this DSLR malarkey. Still a shame to have missed it though.
