Got to love when your trying to set your ram and you get an error code that isn't even in the book error code 8 not 08 like in the book

Yes ofcourse higher memory speed on these cpu is like extra 200Mhz performance..Imc and cpu all working harder so extra heat. I also noticed this amd it's normal.

Docp setting 125 is no problem for 3000 Mhz for me on those mems. Leave all timings auto drop multi to like 3400 for around 3.9 vcore 1.4 run..... Should work fine.

Nice work mate.

I've been working on a 4.050Ghz overclock up from 4Ghz. At 1.46v and appears stable, think i may have found my limit for 24/7 speeds. This was on the previous bios though with 2T timings, so will now update and hope it remains stable at my current settings.

What RAM you using if you don't mind? Aiming for a similar setup as you but with 1700 instead of x. What RAM are you using as well matt? you too seem to have a good oc going on there

New bios for the CH6 has finally allowed me to boot in with RAM at 3600mhz C16.

Well found the culprit for the high temps a ****** 115i, installed my noctura U12s and @3.8 1.35v my temps are hovering around 50-55c with 105w going through the chip

Not quiet but best ones imo are industrial noctua's, I'm cheap so have akasa viper's

noob as well but I understand it to be a interface line. it can run at two different timings (1T and 2T). Ryzen and most processors prefer 1T but the latest official asus bios (0902) forced 2T to get more RAM types to work abate at a slower rate. Would probably only notice the difference in benchmarks though. So they are offering two bios now, the normal 1T but if you are having memory problems you can try the 2T one to give yourself a bit more leeway.

their offering 1t and 2t bios's on asus boards or are other boards getting that too, thanks for the info

Just the crosshair so far. For 0902 they forced 2T for everyone because you could get better compatibility for 2x16gb and 4x sticks. But this knocked down some guys overclocks and had the issue of loosening timings so this time around they just gave out two types to try and please everyone, with the idea that if the 1T file didn't work they could load the 2T and see if that helped them whilst still having the improvements from 0902.

Looks like 2800mhz is as high as I can get my ram with my cpu at 3.85ghz 1.35v

Any chance of some game benches, or have you already done this? 4.0 with 3000-3200 ram is ideal, as it's what a lot of people are aiming for.
