Someone please help me decide :(

slightly retarded question but... will i need a wifi card with that amd build hono suggested as my office is the other end of the house to my modem

Why not a second hand GPU with the i5?

I just don't see the point in paying for the i3 when he said he will "add more after if it works". Might as well start with a quality CPU.

Never said he couldnt use a 2nd hand GPU with the i5K :/ Just pointing out the build is fast running out of control and his budget will have to increase.

Some people dont like buying second hand. I was just saying that I personally wouldn't buy anything less than the 2GB 7850 if he wants something brand new

not gunna lie... i didn't understand that thread, im running chrome though and it says there's an extension where would i find that?

No, I know. I was just wondering if there was a reason I was unaware of (which is stupid, I know)

Vergais

Is £400 the actual budget or as you said 'add more later' could you stretch it?

It would work but and it's a rather big BUT.....

The H77 doesn't allow you to overclock the i5K, you might as well drop the wifi dongle and get the Z77 mobo i spec'd earlier.

Second that HDD is waaaaaaaay toooooooo sloooooow :( 7200rpm is what you want for an OS drive, 5200rpm is for laptops and eco drives

THirdly the PSU isn't modular so you have a mass of unused cables you need to hide. Not ideal in a small case, which is why I used the modular P&C PSU

Lastly you wont be gaming until you drop in a GPU.

I realised, that's why I deleted

That's not a big problem when using the Prodigy.

Right about the RPM.
5400 is a joke unless it's backup or mass storage.

Also the H77 is useless. Might as well get the non K version of the I5.

Atleast you tired fella, unlike the rest of these slackers ;)

I really do beg to differ. Even when building in midi towers I find modular PSUs to be a godsend for cable management. Any excess cables are simply there to block airflow, better airlfow equals better temps. Some PSUs dont fit in the prodigy, OCuk supply the P&C PSU with their store built prodigy so we know it's good ;)
