Southport stabbings

This is whats so puzzling to me, most terror attacks are carried out by people born in the country and because of cultural differences get caught up in the dogma of there own culture, many don't even see themselves as British despite being born here. And yet some here are hanging on the 'born here' bit as if it disproves something. It doesn't

Which aspect of Rwandan cultural dogma do you think he's been caught up in, that's led to him attacking a bunch of children?

Has the police even confirmed he's from Rwanda? I've only seen conjecture from X about that. I'd rather wait for more information, a good example was last week at Manchester Airport, the real story changed the dynamic of the whole story.

Why are you talking about people getting caught up in the dogma 'their own' culture if you're working on the 'i'd rather wait for more information' principle? What's that got to do with anything if you're not working from the assumption he's from a cultural background other than the UK?

Not really, originally means originally anyway so that is already quite clear, then they probably felt they had to use even simpler words for the twitter brigade just to ram it home. Also the page with the statement on their website says 'updated' in bold colour at the top of the statement. The only ones fueling wild speculation are people like you.
How am I fuelling it, and what are "people" like me ? Maybe you think us first generationers aren't allowed an opinion, am I not British enough for you ?

Besides, I didn't have an opinion on the case, all I pointed out what why there is a clear need to put information out clearly and properly to the public, they are the Police they write witness statements every day they know how it should be done

I mean killing anyone is disgusting, but kids.... I mean I'm a parent so the impact is far more visceral, but honestly they must have a mental condition.
I don’t think it is a mental condition.
I think the attack has come from deep seated hatred. He knew what he was doing.

What is wrong with people these days!? Trying to downplay and cover up crimes because it doesn't suit there narrative.

Yesterday someone on tv was miminizing child rape. They didn't even want to use the words.

It's easy to see how the grooming gangs cover up happened.

I think these people are sick in the head. They can't accept the reality of things going wrong.

It always annoys me when they immediately report it as a tragedy. It's an outrage.
Is Naz Shah MP working in BBC News now?

Death sentence is the only way for murderers.

But that's the thing, how can you hate children enough to want to actually take the life of a child? I just cannot fathom how disturbed the person must be. I can't imagine someone like that is of sound mind.

you have to be broken in the head to some degree to be capable of that
Broken beyond held, should just be instant death penalty.
We do not need these types of people in a civilised society, they can never be rehabilitated fully, they will forever stay a risk.

That's another debate - I'd prefer life imprisonment (life means life). As passionately as you must feel to want to seek revenge I don't think it makes for a civilised society - but as I said that's another debate. I completely get the sentiment though and I find it hard to argue against it, certainly in the heat of the moment. I know I'd be seeking blood.

I think one of the concerns that some seem to have when it comes to blaming these attacks on a mental health problem or disorder is that it can deter others from talking about their MH issues and getting help for fear of stigma, even when they're nowhere near as far gone. We know how common it is these days to lump everyone with a label together.

In the US, where some of the school shooters turned out to be autistic, we have seen instances of parents calling for all other autistic children to be removed from schools, as if autism itself was the problem.

Dismissing it as 'we know the real reason they're blaming it on mental health' is not the answer.
