Spanish Grand Prix 2010, Circuit de Catalunya - Race 5/19

The only time you might think his hand is off the wheel is when he is adjusting brake balance while covering the duct.

But the brake balance dial is on the wheel therefore his hand is still on the wheel.

Brake balance isn't a dial on the wheel - it's a physical lever.
it is possible to do it through a servo system, but as far as I am aware not many teams have gone down that route as a lever is less prone to failure.

That Red Bull is stunningly quick. Hopefully with no rain interference we can see how dominant they really can be tomorrow. Sodding fell asleep during Q2 and only woke up 10 mins ago, missed everything today :(

The amount of work we are doing,it better be :D

Christ... The fans are far worse than any of the teams.
BAN HIM! GIVE A PENALTY! *mouth foaming*

You'd think he never had his hands on the wheel all way round track.
Is Massa using the same system? He's adopted a Heidfeld (invisible man) image.

I hate to say this but, you actually spout more **** than Sunama at times.

Are you sure about that mate? I mean, really sure? That's the sort of statement you can't drag back.

I kid, of course. After all, sunama is pretty much harmless. He just sits in his own little world occasionally brightening our days with some bizarre statement.

Plenty more to come as well.

For the sake of exciting races, I hope this is not the case, but I can't help but feel that this is reminiscent of 1992 (Williams), 1993 (Williams). All the cars in question are all Newey designed, where in dry races the Newey cars totally dominate and stroll to 1-2 finishes (baring extraordinary events).

One thing that I did notice in 1992 and 1993, is that as the season wore on, the margin of advantage reduced; so much so that by the time we reached the end of the season, the 2nd best car was matching the Williams cars for pace.

Unless it rains tomorrow, I can see tomorrow's race being a procession.

To be fair Barcelona is generally a procession regardless of any team dominating. I agree its not very exciting for the armchair viewers but, we just want to get a job done. Plenty of good tracks coming up in the next few months that will have fans on the edge of their seats im sure.

.

Thats not a surprise as the season was over early in 92, pointless pushing on when the title was over, mansell more or less cruised. In 93 prost won 7 of the first 10 races and then the next 3 hill won. So they hardly got caught up. In the last 3 prost got 3 2nd places. In true prost fashion at that stage of his career he played the percentages. He's only challenger was Ayrton and you can bet if they had caught up Williams for pace during the course of the year he wouldn't have gone running to williams for a seat.

I'd normally agree except it seems this time turning up at barca everyone has fallen further behind. Normally the advantage dissapears slightly after the long haul. This time Red Bull has shown the dry weather pace is un-matchable and have increased the lead.

Theres not an area you guys are weak over the weekend either that others can take advantage of. The pace on low or full fuel is so consistent I can see why people are suspicious of how the car is so well balanced at just about every type of track with little complaints from the drivers about taking time on a race weekend to set the car up.

It's the most complete car over so many scenarios I've seen for quite some time. I reckon if you scratch the paint off, you will see it's a 93 canon williams underneath ;)
