Good move by Hamilton, now lets see how the tyres last.
29 laps on the soft tyres...

Kvyat managed 32 on a set of new softs.

Vettel/Hamilton incident - no investigation necessary!

How was that a good move it was all drs nothing more.

Kvyat was slow you can award that in middle to end of the pack not up front you can't

How Lewis has got away with not going left to come back on the track shows again they let the bigger names get away with things

Light fuel load, they could last
Could, but we know how quick Ferrari are with race pace. He needs to pull a tidy gap and cruise.

The alternative is cruise now with Vettel on his gearbox and hope he's got enough life to defend later.

Personally I'd go with option 1.

I'm pretty sure Mercedes waited until end of VSC to force Ferrari in under race speed.

There isn't that much leeway and Ferrari could have pitted a lap earlier.

It wouldn't make a difference, if Vettel pit a lap before Ham then Ham would have gained 1.5 second a lap for 5 laps then been on Vettel and passed in the same way anyhow. The gap was closed by Bottas and by Vettel pitting way too early. If he did another 10 laps on softs, he would have both been 10 laps further before needing to go to mediums and he wouldn't have been held up by Bottas.

This happened because Ferrari's first stop was way way too early.

Hamilton was shoved off the track, he didn't just mess up the corner and went wide.

Not sure the rule makes that distinction

Ham could get a penalty for being pushed off but they should equally give Vettel a penalty for shoving him off by making contact with him.

Yea, I said here they should either both get a penalty or neither, and neither was the right call imo

Race is done now I think, Ferrari should have either pitted under VSC or stayed out.

Under VSC wouldn't make a different, the gap between soft/medium is just too large and the gap between them too small. Staying out though, if he stayed out on softs for as long as possible he wouldn't have lost that much time to Ham then he could pit to mediums but late in the race he'd be able to push the mediums very very hard against old softs on Ham. Because Merc's strategy depends on those tires lasting so he won't be that fast at the end.

How is vettel not losing ground when the mediums are 2 seconds slower?

Ham has to string these tires out for 30 odd laps, so once he gets in the lead he has to cruise as slowly as he can. Vettel hasn't certainly lost this yet, if Ham's tires go it will be over for him. Of course if they feel the tires going off they could pit say now and do another 16 laps on another set of softs and absolutely fly to the end, that could win it for them.
