I was doing 3x8 weighted pull ups a few months back with 10 - 12kg between my feet


But then I got fat again :p

got fat crew checking in. Although weight has stablised at the moment. Might need to do a new year cut challenge to get us both in a little competition ;)
 
I've never tried sticking serious weight under me tbh, always aim for 8 reps and it's always fatigue that gets me. But either way, you're stronger than me so it's to be expected :p
 
No excuse - if little old me can do it with 30-40kg you should be able to do twice as much! :mad:

I can manage 5 or more reps +20kg overhand lol, but I havent done weighted for a few months, don't know why, just been doing 5 sets of 12 BW recently.

If I don't push you and rip into you you'll never let get anywhere. By the time your in your mid 30s I want you to have superseded everything!

Joking aside, it's a fantastic exercise for core strength, back width and pure awesomeness.

Of course overhand! Wider than shoulder width. 12 at BW is good though - a lot of people can't even do 1!

It's a beast of an exercise. I'm trying to master the muscle up at the moment - it's hard.

Its my favourite exercise :D
I have tried muscle ups a few times also, failed each time, feels like shoulder aids getting the rotation up over, some people make it look so easy on youtube :(

Honestly training is all over the place atm. Strength is just going up and down randomly, this session I'm blaming on nil by mouth except breakfast and a snickers.
