No seriously, why shrugs...cracking one of would be more beneficial.

My training partner isn't built for power cleans. But lettuce be cereal, whilst shrugs are unpopular here, they're far from useless. Sure, not the most effective. But they still work the muscle.

So, chest today. Went for a PB as it's been a long time (hell, last January at the meet) and I wanted to know what I could bench. So here goes! Also worth bearing in mind that I had shoulders yesterday, so my delts were still fatigued!

Chest and Tris
Barbell Bench
30kg 12
60kg 5
80kg 1 (easy, but my spotter touched the bar, I raged!)
85kg 1 (slow, probably had a bit more in there)
70kg 8/7/5 (all sets for 8 reps, spotted for last to make up 8)

Incline DB Press
22.5kg 10/10/10
Spotted on last rep on last two sets

Cable Crossovers
25kg 10
30kg 10/10

Dip Machine
140kg 10/10/10

Cable Push Downs
20kg 12/12/9

So a really short session, but felt massively pumped and very well worked. Could've done with some more volume but it was busy and my TP was dying!

85kg for 1 and 70kg for 8?! Does not compute! Great gains to be had doing a few lower rep sets to sort out your gay high threshold stuff.


Also, if you shrug, keep your shoulders back and your neck "packed".
 
0:30 onwards of the torque one... I have a strippers back :x

And yes you probably did but lettuce be cereal you recommend so much stuff it's hard to remember :D Can't wait for you to perfect my DL in person hnnng
