Folks, I've ordered this for my birthday (20th)

The ProQ Frontier, unfortunately no-one has it in stock until early July :(

http://www.hotsmoked.co.uk/http-//w...-smoked-proq-frontier/prod-3-html/prod_3.html

However lots of places have the next model up the ProQ Excel

http://www.hotsmoked.co.uk/http-//w...okers-proq/proq-excel/prod-6-html/prod_6.html

I'm sooooo tempted to go for the excel even though it's an additional £90. Thoughts?!?!?!

I've seen them both and they're both great. The excel is well worth it though :)

 who said anything about degreasing the grill?

Well, cleaning it then. Someone said the cleaning solutions they used made the coating peel off - just thought I'd share what I do as it's cheap and works brilliantly.

Not degrease it! dont do that, grease it! get onion, cut in half dip in plate of oil, rub on grill. zero stick and additional caramelization

I meant to clean it, good idea for non-stick/flavour but I get tired of seeing my mates bbq grills either rusty from the harsh cleaning fluids or caked in food and find lemon does the job. Will try the onion/oil after that.

Wish i was in a Ramen Shop Counter
Fish was cooked JUST right. Moist in the middle and not burn on the outside. (see, 47cm is large enough for me :D) I greased the grill before I put the fish on so it lifted quite easily. There was a tiny bit flaked off but the majority stayed intact.

As for smokey flavour, I said it worked ! Although I can't really taste Jack Daniels, the smokey aroma was more prominent than any JD taste.

The wood chips were in 2 foil packs as in the photo.
