Staples's 'Kashmir' Managers Chair

mglover070588 - don't go by store prices. Staples are one of the few that still haven't managed to unify their online and bricks and mortar prices. That said, they've gone up a lot online too . Now £160 when people have paid £130 or less (which is much more like it tbh, even though it is awesome).

I haven't as yet had any loose bolts or worn fabric. Wife is breast feeding in it too as she loves the comfort. Any spillages have been easily cleaned. Stuggling to find any negatives to this chair apart from the now fairly high price.

I', afraid I was a 'tard yesterday and looked online (£167) and missed that this was ex vat.

Nice chair. Not worth £200 though!

Looks lovely but I'd be worried about the longevity of it from other peoples comments. I need a new chair as my PCWorld leather one is about to die. Mind you I've had that for about 12 years so I can't complain. I'm quite interested in a microfibre one as I've fallen in love with my cloth seats in the car compared to the leather in my other one.

The conrad is on offer at £85 ish, but it is absolutely no where near as comfortable as the Kashmir chair.

I hadn't though about the life of the Kashmir chair, but as previously mentioned it SO is not worth £200, £160 would be a lot for it but I would splash out on it then.

Good to hear!

Went to look at some chairs today as I am in DESPERATE need of a new one.

This is the only one I liked in store, felt really comfy. Only problem is that the price was either £220/£230 in store (can't remember which) and £192 online.

Reading posts from August where the price was £130 in store. WTF!

I have the chair in the OP and paid around £130 for it. It is really, really, comfy and is probably the most comfortable office chair I've owned.

Had it around 3/4 months now and it's fine - being used for around 5 hours a day I'd say (and more at weekends) - no rips / tears or anything. I would say the plastic arms and base are not as nice quality compared to the material of the chair but after sitting in this and some of the £3-400 pound chairs I much preferred this.

Well, since this topic showed up again.

Kept the Conrad, got used to it after the weird uncomfortable-ness of it.. It's epic.

I had to put bigger bolts in and retap the holes but they have fell out now.

Why is your armrest in such a state? Look at it! What do you do, gnaw at it during moments of eRage?

Lol Dimple, do you fight wars in that chair? Also I didn't know they had a leather version of the Kashmir.

Mine's still fine, no sign of any wear and tear. But then I am not a chair oaf :D.

Just a heads up, the Kashmir chair is now £99+vat. Just got an sales email and thought of this thread lol.

Oh and That is what happens to the arms after a while. The plastic flexes as you lean on it and the paint cracks and falls off over time. The arm rest leather is also really crappy fake stuff on the sides, they must save pennies .

I've had it 3 years on Dec 27th and I've never even touched that part of the chair.

Someone clearly has! My last Staples chair had armrest pillars of the same quality/material and it didn't look anything like that after 2+ years!

Or maybe that's toxic sweat dripping down from your arms during heated gaming sessions?

Probably around 3-4 years, so to be fair it has done pretty well. Certainly better than the Argos chair it replaced, that lasted less than 6 months.

This is still very comfy and the seat cushion hasn't compressed like the cheaper chairs do. They will have used a more expensive rebound foam, rather than the standard foam.

The fabric version will lose the paint on the arms the same, but the fabric on the arms might last longer than the fake leather on this one.

looking at some of these pictures i sure hope the staples kashmere microfibre super duper comfy thing that has been bought for me as a christmas present doesnt look like that in a couple of years

Well it's done the same with mine. Not as bad but it has flaked off at the points where it gets stress from when you lean on the arm.
