Just looked on the GAME website and it's due for release next week?

Though Steam has it available now... could this be why it's not gone through?

Digital retailers (e.g. Steam and D2D) had it available on Tuesday. Physical retail copies are released tomorrow. Steam SHOULD be going through for you - sure the bank hasnt blocked the transaction?
 
I'm going to be hitting up some exploration quests tonight if anybody wants to tag along. I'll be in either my Escort the USS Spongebob or my cruiser the USS Squidworth depending on how I feel :)
 
Must say, I'm quite enjoying the game when grouping with other players, makes the quest some what more enjoyable!

When I come back from the pub, I'm hoping to hid Commander! So, will quest with anyone! ;)

Basically -

Escort - DPS dealer
Cruiser - Tank
Science - Healer

It is only about 50-60Mb - you are looking at the size of the game files to be patched, not what is downloaded.
 
Help!

OK, other half and I never played an MMO before, but decided to jump in on this one. While I would say I am enjoying it so far, complicated as it is, we would like to be able to play together - in my opinion, one of the joys of multiplayer gaming.

Problem is, we have no idea how to find each other. Any clues for this dumb couple wouldn't go amiss :)

As said above, no comparison. However, I like STO a lot better. I'm rubbish at Eve combat, it just happens too fast for me, and there are too many variables to keep in mind - optimal range, transversal, sig radius, tracking speed, cap management, drones, ewar and a dozen other factors.

With this I have time to actually think about the battle - where I'm going to turn to have the most guns bearing on a single shield and still leave myself in position to launch torpedos into the hole they punch through, when to use my abilities. It's slower, and simpler than eve, but I find it much more enjoyable.
 
Do any EvE players play this? I was tempted to give it a go but I've seen videos of ships being killed and then respawning just outside the battle area? Do you lose anything like in EvE such as items, etc as otherwise where is the fear in dying? I used to like Eve because people would run from the battle instead of losing their ship as it was a pain to get another one! Made for some tense moments and immense satisfaction!
