Considering how busy the patching server will be, I doubt you would get more than that anyway!

Is there any point in downloading it yet?

The OB Client gets officially released tomorrow doesn't it?

Lucky, that is the latest version. Shouldnt be too much more than a 2GB patch released for open beta...hopefully not even that much!

On another note, I would have to say that STO is not ready for open beta. There are still too many bugs. I know it is an MMO, but there are bugs there that will just turn people away. Cryptic have their work cut out of the next few weeks.

Its released in a few weeks officially anyway, so I'm guessing their hopeing that releasing it to the public means they'll fix the bugs quicker?

D2D email out a key when you purchase from them. You should still get into open beta through them.

How'd you know there are no more Beta keys left from that company?

I wouldn't get it from steam, it's almost double the price :eek:

Most retailers stop the offer a few days before the beta. Don't think the digital retailers do until the end of beta. I could be wrong though.

I'm sorry could someone clarify to me...

Are digital retailers giving out open beta keys still? If so, who else apart from Steam is doing STO? (Presumably its STO Deluxe edition I want in order to get into the open beta?)

But surely another digital retailer is doing this for less than 50 quid?

D2D is doing a better Deluxe edition and cheaper. They still say they are offering open beta access and will send your key immediatly. I know that with champions they were still sending out keys throughout the open beta for people who decided to "buy in". Just keep in mind that Steam and D2D take your money immediatly and it can be quite a pain to try and get it back!

In what way is D2D version of this game better?

Also theyre selling it for £45! not much cheaper really.
Probably better to get it offline for cheaper perhaps? Is there anyone else online doing it for cheaper than Steam/D2D?
