Haven't played since around Christmas time. Think my sub ran out in March. Just ran out of things to do apart from the daily grind - didn't seem to be any new content coming out and I didn't like the Romulan season, so kind of gave up. Got my monies worth out of it though

Just bought this, liked the beta even though ground combat was utter crap, will proberly downloaded it over night due to traffic management.
Where do ppl get the 60 day subs for £10 cant find them, only for £14 + and most of them are out of stock

CR or anyone - When respecing my skill points I noticed next to the current level of points there is a another number in brackets. What is this exactly?

I only did a respec once, so have no idea sorry! May be able to help if you post a screenshot.

If you mean on an individual skill then the bracket number will be what the number was before so you can still see where you allocated points before respecing.

Well yes once uve played through all characters and missions you get stuck.

Their are the foundry missions now, but one might question the practice of paying users writing missions !

Looks like STO will be F2P in no time then. Probably the only way I would ever go back.

Perfect World is huge in Asia though, so excellent for Cryptic.

Could be an ideal move for STO and Perfect World. I read that PW have a lot of good character creation content in their games so if true and they bring that to the game, along with the improved ground combat it could do well. Remains to be seen if PW continue with the subscriptions or release it as F2P?

Or they could just use Cryptic to westernise Perfect World games and leave STO to rot.

Depends where they see the return on their investment I guess.

just installed and started play STO for the first time, very impressed so far, i heard the rumours of it going f2p so thought it was daft not to pick it up for £2.37!

Just installing the Delux Edition any recommendations for Race, Ships ....... ?

In WOW and EVE I tend to go for solo builds which allow me to complete quests without being in a group. So WOW it was an Hunter.

Limited with time due to work commitments but obviously I will sign up to any OcUK group.

It doesn't really matter to be honest, you can be very effective solo and group with either race/ profession. If i were to pick one however, it would be Trill/ Engineering.

No, it really doesn't make a difference -

Tactical - offensive abilities (best combined with escort ship)
Engineer - defensive (cruiser)
Science - buffs (science ship)

Any combination works though.

I usually make a custom alien captain and choose my own traits.
