Star Trek Online

Really enjoying the game after playing it over the last few nights but have a few newbie questions.

I have created a Trill/Engineer which is currently at Ensign 5. I have accumulated some points which I have 2 points in each of the Starfleet Training branches which leaves 1000/3316 left. Any recommendations on to what I should be putting the points into? Should I leave this until I reach higher levels?

I have looked on the Startrek forums for a newbie guide but couldn't find anything. Looking for some good builds.

How do I join the OcUK fleet? Is anyone still playing?

Still trying to work out how to get back to the intitial star base,LOL. Assumed it was Starbase 24.

Cheers

Im not sure it ever worked from that point of view

I messed around with a tactical captain, in a cruiser, doing all sorts and survived all the way to the end easily.

STO has issues for sure.

I'm not sure if either of the fleet admirals are sub scribed at the moment.

From what ive seen some stuff enhances the specific abilities, think ive spent a lot into energy weapons and torpedos so they do more damage, also have ops which slighly increases serveral of the ships abilities, also a joined trill engineer, think im at 8

I've just taken a look at this game after getting into Star Trek. I've finished watching the Original Series and have watched the first two films of the 'trilogy', and I have to say this game doesn't really fit the bill. What makes Star Trek so good is the characters, storyline and the unusual things they discover. This game is more about just generally killing things, repetitive fighting and the fighting doesn't seem based on the films or episodes at all. The weapons are different, there are random things that didn't exist anywhere in Star Trek. It's more of a generic battling game that is as boring as hell. This is coming from a long time FPS player by the way.

The only people will full rights is me and rave

however other ranks should be able to invite and give people limited rights.

If you post all your names and handles me or rave should be online shortly to add you.

Its an alternative version of trek much alike the new movie.

Their will always be a distinction between hardcore trekkies and the casual trekite.

However I felt some of the things in the game were "too far" our their.

Ironically, what Star wars online (yet to be released) of rich story , online and less multiplayer is perhaps the way STO should have gone.
