Star Trek Online

I'm shocked to be saying this but season 5 has actually made a big improvement to STO, STO deffintely feels like the game it should have launched as now! 2 years later...

Anyhow, just a warning to established players when (and if) you return that your ships, crafting, accounts and powers and how they are arranged will be a mess!

I might re-download this once this uni term is over, see whats changed. Did enjoy playing with you peoples and flying my shiny ship.
 
Just be aware that as part of the process for re-vamping Space Skills (Ground hasn't made it yet).. all your skill points have been refunded. You will need to respend them again. A lot of the things you think you've lost will come back once you've spent all your points.. (Quantum Slipstream for example).

The next couple of builds are bug fixes I believe as a couple did slip in..
 
Also might take a look now its F2P!

hopefully a lifetime sub might be in the works :P

saying that i never play lotro even though i have lifetime...
 
Back on the game on my old account now, bought the enterprise tho i hate cryptic for pulling enterprise and a klingon starter ship from being free to being pay for as soon as today came as the other day it was free and now its 400cp. Stupidly tho i bought it because im doing a new character with a mate and he got the nx accidently by using cp when he thought it was ingame money i.e credits or somit.

Hate the UI of the skill tree now, its really crap to use i think the previous one looked and was designed better.

Can't do the q races till level 6. Debating weather to buy a holiday box or sell 100 cp and try play the market in hopes of turning a profit of more cp than i start with but duno if i should try.

Dx11 beta stuff is accessed btw if you go to video settings/troubleshoot and its the first pull down menu there where u can select dx9 or 11.
 
Personally speaking.. DON'T buy a holiday box. Not for CP anyway.. There are several on the exchange for 'reasonable' amounts. Added to which there is a very good chance that when you 'open' the red box there's a blue one inside.
 
Think I may give this a go when it goes F2P in a couple of weeks. I'm a massive Star Trek fan, but just couldn't justify paying yet another subscription for a game.
 
Thought it was too good to be true. Just dinged at 20 and they want either Dilithium or Credits for ship purchases. If you pay is it like it used to be?
 
Only played this for a month last year, so I thought I'd dip in now it's free. Unfortunately I encountered a weird bug after going into the graphics options; any time I clicked anything the game would just minimise. I could click on it to bring it back up, but again, clicking something would immediately minimise it.

I'll try again tonight. How do I find the rest of you guys?

Edit: Never mind, just saw the info in the first post, heh. As soon as I figure out my in-game details I'll post again and ask to join the guild. :)

Anyone else not able to re-allocate their skill points, or am I just being thick? Only lets you apply points to tier 1 stuff, and the accept button is greyed out :(
