the graphics do look a bit dated ingame but they have kind of captured the Star Trek essence, I just wish Codemasters/Turbine had been given the licence considering how brilliant they did with Lord of The Rings ...

I think they look great for an MMO - but nothing special in the scheme of things. Just make sure you have everything turned up - also, if you have an ATI card the graphics are made far worse by the lack of AA. Of course, I would rather substance over graphics any day.

Yes why does the game not have AA for ATI? I loaded STO up at work on an nvidia card and simply thought they had just patched in the feature =/

There was a bug with AA on. They hope to have it fixed for release. CO had the same problem.

have a key going spare if any one needs from my curse premium account, have no pc atm and this laptop just wont cut it. So if you want the key just yell, first to reply gets it

Looked pretty bad in comaprison to other MMO's I've played, didn't dare turn anything up as it was running so poorly on default settings.

Ah thats good to know, even at 1920x1200 the jagged edges are really bad for some reason on my 4890. Yes performance was also quite poor comparing the 275gtx to the 4890 same settings and the gtx even had 2xaa. To be fair though i was on at an extremely laggy period.

Does anyone know if this game makes use of crossfire cards? (I.e. 5770s) ? Im not sure its using both my cards tbh.

I just made an account earlier today using a key posted a page or two ago, downloaded and installed the game, now when I launch it says I do not have permissions to view the launcher. Anyway know whats wrong?

Might be worth posting on the official forums. A few people seem to have reported this.
