Star Trek Online

Seeing as:

a) I don't crap money.
b) After having played Age of Conan and the travesty that was pre and post-launch.
c) It is unlikely I'll be playing the game for that long.
Edit: d) Oh, and I'm waiting for FFXIV.

I won't be buying a lifetime sub. I would love the bonuses to be available in the store at some point, but that may not happen.

Either way, I'm still buying and subbing probably beyond the free month (which is more I can say for Age of Failnan) and after giving one of my science Boffs Tyken's Rift, I have been utterly sold to Science and Science Vessels. :D

Who in their right mind buys a life time sub. I play MMO's for the month I get with the game. No MMO has convinced me to stay any longer. Except Guild Wars.. and we all know about that.

I played EQ for four years, that was in the days of dial up and pay per minute internet too. :)

It is good value for some people if they think they will play for long enough. For me STO will probably be a stop gap till TOR and I haven't really got the cash for the 12 month one atm. So will go month by month and then stop in Sept when I go to Uni.

*COUGH*

Am I invisbile :( ?

Can't say for certain mate as I don't know, but if it comes with built-in headstart (i.e. you got it from a retailer and not just from a open beta giveaway) then yeah it should just be that key and it should say something like "Star Trek Online - Preorder" in your account options on the website.

Thats the one I have.

This life time sub is tempting.
But it would mean having to play it for 1.5 years approximately.
Ive never stuck with a game for that long

Hmm..

Got a beta key today just to try it out. I never play subscription games but I thought I'd give it a go to see what I was missing.
It's very very dull, very easy and you're just mindlessly clicking bad guys until they die. Am I missing something? Does it get a bit more involved later on?
Is there any way to make it so that your attacks are recurring like in dragon age or do you have to just shoot, wait, shoot, wait, shoot, wait? So far, I wouldn't even buy it, let alone pay for the privilege of playing it every month.
