The Klingon Lok in TOS was explained in Enterprise. There was a disease or virus that left them looking like thatBut does TOS even count? Look at the Klingons in that. Lol.

Yeah, I remember that. What I already forgot is what the explanation for the current hideous look of the Klingon's are. So far even though I watch it, I hardly remember anything from discovery. Very forgettable show. The Klingon Lok in TOS was explained in Enterprise. There was a disease or virus that left them looking like that
It's Discovery, lol. No explanation given. Think it was the show runner that wanted that look. However is season 2 they had tried to change them back to looking like regular Klingon s a bit more.Yeah, I remember that. I think you guys missed the point I was trying to make. Obviously the klingons were like that in that show due to budget issues and it being 60/70's.there an episode of DS9 ""Trials and Tribble-ations" where they gone back in time to episode of tos involving kirk and Klingons at a space station K7 and briefly touch upon there, but it not until Enterprise that we learn whole reason why Klingons look different in TOS than in TOS movies, TNG,DS9,Voy.
Klingons got there hands on some Genetic enhance Human dna that once of Data creator ancestor made and try to use it to enhance Klingons, after a small number Enhance human kill the crew and stole a Klingon bird of prey, something went wrong in the Klingon experiment and alter dna merge with a virus, that was now altering their appearance, enhance them and eventually killing them but also became a highly infectious disease. phlox develop a cure but it would undo the enhances leave them with an alter more human appearance but wouldn't kill them and would stop the virus from spread to other but at that time the virus had spread to great number of Klingon, throughout the Klingon empire. it would take several generations or more to undo the alter appearance done to the Klingons. hence in the ds9 episode worf says "that the matter is not discussed with outsiders".

What annoys me is every new showrunner comes and wants to drastically change things. Then just write a few small lines explaining it away. I get why things were different in TOS, but TNG and after things were fine. Why go change the Klingons or anyone so drastically after that.
YeahIt's this rumoured/supposed licencing deal between Paramount and CBS that said all the new stuff had to be 25 percent different. Plus every new showrunner wants to do their own thing and make a career off the back of being some kind of creative genius.
I'm hoping the Enterprise D makes an appearance again, well, at least the Galaxy class.
I liked D more so would prefer to see that. But as you say E would be nice too.D or E. I'll jump up and down.
