Star Trek: Picard

The "advanced ai" being a set of red tentacles was a bit of a wtf moment. Would have been interesting seeing them emerge and slapping a few ships around, assuming that's how they work. Just seemed a really bleh design choice overall.

Japanese innit ;)
Nothing like tentacles to get the heart racing!

I had read he was always saying no about doing anything with Trek again, until he read the script :|
Based on that frankly cringe-worthy promo interview he put out, I'd guess it was more about the series' 'message' aligning with his personal agenda.

We'd all love to have our favourite ships from every classic sci-fi show in there. However, it'll never happen.
Licensing, trademarks etc etc... Even if it supported modding, the likes of Paramount wouldn't have it.

To put in context, this season of Picard is still better than the last half of the third season of Westworld - so if some of you are angry with this show, you are just going to love Westworld now! ;)

Haven't started WW season 3 yet, wasn't impressed with S2 which dragged after an absolutely superb first season.

It starts off well, and then...LOL. You can tell I am quite patient with TV series, but my patience ran thin at the end. OFC YMMV,and you might love it,but it's more the case, the more you think about the less it makes sense.
