All the "bad guys" definitely have gone to the Stormtrooper school of shooting. So think the goons of a multi-billion dollar corporation,all have pea-shooters,and body armour which has the protection of swiss cheese,but all the "good guys" have plot armour and have state of the art weapons which are perfect. Even an Arnie film,has less suspension of disbelief.
 
To be honest we kinda enjoyed it... Well I wouldn't re-watch and if they never do a second series or anything I don't think I'd be bothered but it wasn't the worst thing on tv and helped fill a gap.

But then we've just caught up 6 seasons of blue bloods in 5 weeks so I'm hardly a critic..lol
 
I thought Picard was entertaining.

Is it the best tv program ever made? No, of course not but it’s still high quality programming.

Ive watched TNG, I don’t really get why your question is getting at? They are not the same, or meant to be the same. They were two shows from two different eras in time, it doesn’t suddenly make the direction of TNG or Picard right or wrong.

Is DS9, Voyager, Enterprise or TOS not considered either?

Yea i loved the next generation.

absolutely brilliant and thats why i loved this one too as it had some of the characters and continued the story after really after the last movie.

THIS SHOW was brilliant because the actual quality of story telling and special effects was movie-like and i did have a tear or two during watching it!

I got goosebumps too while watching it! thats how much i loved this star trek

fantastic it was.

I am one of the rare breed of humans that actually likes star trek ahead of of star wars

A small part of me is still thinking you are pulling my leg here. TNG was on another level to Picard imo. Oh and yes, I much prefer Star Trek to Star Wars.

I do agree it was great seeing the old cast again, but honestly the parts that I enjoyed can be condensed into like 2 episodes. Really enjoyed seeing Riker in particular. Loved seeing him in the captains chair too, he actually pulled it off unlike the rest.

better than picard but picard is still ******* brilliant!!!
