**** Star Wars: Battlefront ****

Yeah the stuff is mint, some still to have the stickers affixed etc from the sheet. Sad really Toys that have never seen the light of kids lol. If you had a man cave and cabinet it would look great. They’re all are packed away safe and sound.

Would I like £1k for some of the cost of a new PC sure but I’d regret selling it all being a huge SW fan I just feel.

If it was me I'd sell it especially now, make a nice fortune out of that lot. I'm not one for material things though.. Nostalgia and items like that. I just see it as money sitting there doing nothing. I mean they are all packed away right not doing anything? You had them in the loft didn't you?
I mean if you had them on display somewhere then yeah...

I'd sell em :-)

upto rank 10 now and loving this. review scores and general feeling are unfair. It gives everyone a fair advantage with the hero stuff and it's a lot of fun. More than can be said than any other by-numbers shooter i've played in the past few years.

Wish it had 3rd/1st person only modes like dayz because 3rd person mode is at so much more of an advantage...

Its pretty addictive. I haven't really done many MP games since my counterstrike days as they just bore me and the yearly BF and COD games do nothing for me but this is just great simple fun with your friends in a star wars world that looks stunning and for the first time you really do feel like your in the world of star wars and that's all down to the sound and visuals.

There is a skill level aswell but its more team skill than a player on his own. Teamwork makes all the difference on this especially in a walker assault match.

Downsides are still the same for me.
Crossfire is a joke. It crashes on startup and anytime i actually manage to get into a game theres stuttering and flickering like crazy. Single card runs like a dream though
Lack of maps is annoying for me.
The big modes only have 4 maps is a crime and they should have double that. Im pretty sure they could have easily doubled the maps but instead just end up putting them all in DLC which is no surprise but its annoying as hell.

I think the scores are fair, It's a 7/10 game all day. What does it really do to deserve higher?

Like previous posts if you ignore the graphics and sounds, it's a very basic and very limited shooter. Personally I can't see what would keep people coming back after a week or so.

Maps are pretty boring and there isn't many of them.
Game modes are boring, Walker Assault being the most complete but still lacks anything to get excited about. Run in kill a few, die and repeat without any real meaning.
The heroes are clunky and generally meh to play.
Only a handful of weapons etc... and most are also meh.
It's just full of nade spam and little else.

It's extremely shallow and paper thin, to think they didn't have a single player to concentrate on then honestly it's a really poor effort.

Yeah it runs well and looks nice but that's not enough to keep people playing.

It's definitely more like a homage to the movies than an actual worthwhile game.

Looks like from the reviews i made a good choice for my bday 2 days ago and was bought the witcher 3 wild hunt, shame as im a star wars fan but the game needs more depth from what i see in the beta and the current reviews.
Just hope BF5 is more focused on team play and not all about k/d ratios but more about squad/team scores etc.

I think the main thing that puts me off about this game is the price, and that a good percentage of the game is tied into paid DLC.

I realise thats the way things, especially AAA titles, are headed, but why are we putting up with it?

Because most people have no standards nor will power :(

As long as people keep pre-ordering before any reviews etc. and buying regardless of reviews etc. then nothing will ever change.

They most certainly are and there isn't a single thing anyone can do about it.

Sadly though that amongst other reasons are why we get day 1 dlc, season passes, buggy/broken releases etc. etc.

I'll be holding off on the season pass for now until I've played the game a bit to see if its worth the additional investment.

In other news, I;ve had my key from cdkeys.com and preloading now. 27gb :)

I clicked the download link in the email.

This.

Useful idiots as Lenin/EA would call them.

I don't pre-order anymore, why give game devs your hard earned money before you have even tried the game. Makes no sense to me.

because you played the beta and liked it ?

Just saying.

I played the last 2 DICE betas and then the full game dropped, along with most of the decent stuff from the beta and pretty much all the optimisation feedback they asked for.

Just saying.

Not pre-ordering massively hyped titles that are on console as well is going to do nothing unfortunately. In fact it could just lead to devs dropping PC versions. It's backwards I know but this is the way it is now.

For PC only games it might make a difference.

+1

BF 3 beta was far better than the final version
BF 4 beta was far better than the final version, at least for the first 6 months....
BFH beta was far better than the final version

And most importantly, they put on the quick act of "oh we do what the majority want ASAP" then come the final game.... they do **** all or take 5+ months to implement the changes and even then it is usually the opposite to what people want as well as fixing 1 bug whilst introducing another 2 bugs.....

Unfortunately I can't remember what the bc 2 beta was like but iirc, it was similar to the above.

Yup console users also need to stop "zOMG, must pre-order ASAP" mentality too but there is even less chance of that happening.... :p

The only reason to pre-order is if you badly want the physical items that come with the games.

If developers can't release a finished game that works without any serious issues then I rather them just not bother tbph.... when the "customers" in their spare time can fix/improve a game in a matter of days to the standard that the game should have been in the first place, it just shows how lazy/**** these developers are i.e. kaiden with batman AK and now a handful of people improving/fixing various things for fallout 4 that should have been working from day 1.
