**** Star Wars: Battlefront ****

Scarif infiltration mode is great and loosely based on the film if you've seen it. Maps are very similar and could have been improved though. I never did very well on the death star Dlc but scarif seems to suit my gameplay.

^^

This.

Also battlefront 2 was very close to battlefield i.e.

- you had specific classes to play as
- the vehicles operated very similar to BF vehicles
- maps were rather big and open

What narks me off about the DLC/Season Pass with this atm is that I didn't want to commit to £20 for the season pass when only 2 of the DLCs were out, so on a past sale I got the first 2 half price (about £5/6 each). Now they only have the season pass on sale and not the 2 latest dlcs, so if I want them I have to pay rip off price or stump up £16.66 for the season pass effectively paying for the 2 I own again. EA can suck my balls with their shoddy cash extraction death star of a game.

Does anyone happen to know if the skirmish mode now supports the DLC maps? I'd like to pick up the ultimate edition whilst it's cheap, but am only interested in offline / co-op play. Thanks.

No it doesn't. And the skirmish mode is ok the first time you play it - but after a couple of hours of gameplay it becomes pointless as it's just far to easy. I had never played online FPS games before I bought Battlefront but I love the online play in it - it's still the only online game I play aside from a very occasional online game of DOOM. If you are absolutely certain you won't play it online then it's a complete waste of money.

Thanks heartburnron, I'll save my money in that case. Yep, I am absolutely certain - the Mrs and I wanted to play this together against bots and have zero interest in playing online.

I think you've made the right call - there isn't even local co-op in the game so unless you have a second PC in the house you the Mrs couldn't have played it together anyway.

My kids enjoy the offline play but then they are 4 & 5 years old...

We both have identical PCs, the Mrs is as big a gamer as I am :).
