**** Star Wars: Battlefront ****

I'm not buying the game, so don't really care. If it shipped with DX12 out of the box it would have made more sales for those who are curious about how the game performs. I only would have bought this game if it had a single player campaign but when EA took over the game from WD they scrapped it iirc.

Thing is the game already performs really well

Time to upgrade that RAM boys. Frametime differences between 8 and 16GB:

Star Wars Battlefront's multiplayer beta runs at 900p on PlayStation 4 and 720p on Xbox One, according to a pair of online reports.

Digital Foundry put the PS4 beta through its paces yesterday, discovering a native 1600x900 resolution and a frame rate that manages to hit its 60fps target "for the most part".

Game Revolution, meanwhile, claims that the Xbox One beta runs at a "blurry 720p", with one prominent NeoGAF user also criticising it for its "atrocious" image quality.

I hope the pc version is 1080p , but its a bigger download so hopefully yes :)

Im running at 1920x1200p with 8GB Ram and having no issues at all. Not quite max setting (shadows med, post processing high and amb occlusion med) with just a 7950 - the game seems insanely optimized to me.

In fact, on ultra v medium preset, the biggest difference I notice is the LOD pop-in on the terrain (especially Tattooine mission). Overall the visual difference is not huge at all, even the superb particles still look fantastic on a lower setting.

Is this game live yet?

Also how do I save changes in my settings on Origin? Been trying to to un-tick "start on wins start up and save it, but there no way to save any changes you made in settings?

Just upgrade your whole rig, go on - get a 5960x and 32GB of ram, sli titans.

Hey it's worth it for a £40 game after all.
