Hi
not read the whole thread so i apologise if i get the wrong end of the stick........ but i am not seeing it to be honest.
ok there is Elite Dangerous........... yes it is a running joke that all the characters (that are engine created, not the artist driven ones) are butt ugly....... but that that is the same for both sexes and just how the face creator works.
but in general
1) dont you think it is a bit tiresome that in most TV media the huge majority of the lead roles are pretty people........ I would say there is an obvious push for inclusivity - in terms of sexuality, race and even size (and i am not saying that is a bad thing) but even then for the most part the actors / esp actresses tend to be uncannily pretty.
I dont mind either way, but it is a fact that the average cast on a TV show is a far fling from the average people picked from the street so maybe games are just believable?
2) in general even in games most lead roles are generally attractive anyway (not that it even matters). Aloy in HZD, apparently she is not attractive enough? I mean come on!. she is living in the wilderness eating scraps she can find, and fighting giant robot monsters and crazy natives. and still she does look feminine and attractive. I would say it would be more offensive to women if she did look super dolled up and attractive in some over sexed up attire.
if you want that just play Dead or Alive fighting / volleyball.
I have no issues at all with the female lead in starwars outlaws..............i do have an issue with its price, and the fact that it will likely just be a standard ubisoft game reskinned.
i will pick up because its starwars, but will wait for inevitable sale under £20. I would haver been more interested if coop like the Division which for me those 2 games have been the best from ubisoft in a long long time.
