Steam Summer Sale 2018

There were a few things I nearly pulled the trigger on but then just knew I would never really play them or finish them. It's more a case of "Oh I wonder what that game was actually like" or "I bet that would run really well on my rig these days".

Still have the last Wolfenstien to finish and won't buy anther game till after that. Really not enjoying this one, the new order was great but just not feeling this and the sound seems crap.

Got my Steam Link yesterday. What a great idea!

I used to have gaming PCs both upstairs and downstairs, with the downstairs PC being a little lower spec'd and of course unable to run some titles. It'd also consume a fair amount of energy when being used for mundane tasks such as watching/streaming content.

I've replaced the downstairs PC with a low power machine for streaming and a Steam Link for gaming and can now play all of the Steam games from my main machine anywhere in the house. It uses very little power (3w), it's silent, it doesn't chuck a load of heat back into the room and there's no noticeable lag when compared with gaming on the PC upstairs.

Can any one recommend a fun co-op/ multiplayer game for up to 4 people that's under a fiver?

Got a few casual game friends and we're looking for something new, played left 4 dead 2 to death now.

Human Fall Flat is a good co-op/sabotage sim, slightly over at £5.99 but played with friends for a few hours and thought it was great. They do multi-packs on humble but not sure if that's discounted.

No worries. :)

What do you make of it?
I think it looks really unique with a bit of an old school flavour to it. Haven't started it up yet - I am guilty of buying games that sit in my library but I absolutely intend to play them all (well 90% of them, there a few duds a picked up in bundles) - it just get's harder as the size of the library increases, that purchase was game number 567!

How has it worked? Is it connected via ethernet? Tempted to give it a spin for the money it is as I want to be able to control my desktop upstairs.

I'm one of the clowns that not owning it yet.. I buy it one day though, not just right now.. :p

Edit: I am a dofus.. I DO own it.. not just installed it and played it yet.. :o

I was about to say that I don't own it either - turns out I do. Absolutely no memory of buying it but that probably goes for half my steam library tbf.

Yes it’s connected via Ethernet (has WiFi but performance isn’t as good). Not only can you control Steam through it, but you can minimise Steam and control the entire PC, like a mirrored desktop.

It really is excellent for the money. I would recommend both your pc and the link are connected via Ethernet. I don’t notice any lag and the quality is great. Better than running an HDMI cable too as you don’t need to keep adjusting the resolution if the TV differs from your monitor.
