Subaru-powered Toyota FT-86 gets closer to production...

At 28k it's expensive. Even at 25k it's expensive IMO. If I had 25k to spend on a sporty RWD coupe it would go on a Porsche cayman S without a second thought. The 370z a close second. Only if I were commuting or doing more miles would I think of the BRZ.
I don't think anyone who would consider a second hand car that's lost half its value (Cayman S is like £50k, is it not?) would ever consider buying something new unless they really, really wanted it.

I'm still tempted by this beauty, but I'll be chopping in the derv in June and I don't think they'll have depreciated enough by then. :(

Rumour is Subaru may offer a 270-300BHP Turbo version or offer it as a Prodrive upgrade. This will still meet EU green regulations and good mpg.

Toyota may go the not so green root and offer a TRD upgrade supercharger kit 270BHP.

I really like the car and with 270-300BHP and if cost was circa 30k new this would be good.

There shall also be the option when buying new of Brembo big brake kit which consist of 6 pot fronts and 4 pot rears with wheels upgraded to 18" :)

THAT looks a million times better than the promo shots. It really suits the black and I think a very subtle spoiler would finish it off nicely. Could see my self owning one of these in a few years time.

Nothing to do with the photos, all to do with the fitment. It's like I said, the car just needs some nice rims and low down just like that one.

Rear lights still look like a 17 year old's wet dream though. No doubt there will be some after market alternatives.

Of course it's to do with the photos. Wheels can't change a poor/odd photo/camera angle.

What's the release date again?

Trying to work out when they will become a good second hand purchase.

Wing mirrors are still comical too, a drunk person's wet dream. :p I know it's only a minor thing but why o' why aren't the door windows one complete pane?

Its now avaliable for free in the new Gran turismo 5 update.

Take it for a virtual test drive today!

Done so, bit lacklustre tbh hopefully the real life version won't be as disappointing, I know its a game but the designers spent ages driving the car to try and make it as realistic as possible, and if the reality is its that slow round Monza ill be dissapointed :(

No thanks, I'll wait for the Forza 4 version ;)

Yeah why do it now when you can wait and do it in lower quality ;)
