Subaru-powered Toyota FT-86 gets closer to production...

Done so, bit lacklustre tbh hopefully the real life version won't be as disappointing, I know its a game but the designers spent ages driving the car to try and make it as realistic as possible, and if the reality is its that slow round Monza ill be dissapointed :(

a bit lacklustre compared to what though? its not supposed to be epicly fast just fun to drive which is probably not going to come across in a video game so well.

I'm a little disappointed in the pricing but not overly surprised, as Pistonheads point out its cheaper than comparably powered TT or 125i coupé but more than the mini coupé or that horrible Peugeot thing. Its also about 7k more than you can buy a top MX-5 for which would give you some change after supercharging it... and only 5k less than a 370z at list price.

Will be interested to see how they pitch the Subaru, i'd imagine it can't be much cheaper but you'd sort of expect them to undercut Toyota by a bit, unless price matching was in the contract...

I'm sorry, I can't pay full attention to what you've said, because I'm distracted by every car having a properly modeled interior.

Ahh I was poking fun at GT being higher resolution that Forza

Whether I can afford one, or live with the (im)practaicalities is another question for a few years' time.

How well they hold their price will be interesting, not just because it may make them quite accessible to many in not much time, but its arguably a competitor to the NA Supra and so it will be interesting to see what effect its presence has on Supra prices.

Considering 15 years from now eBay will be overflowing with ones with after-market wheels and dubious body-kits and "veilside copy" replacement bumpers this trim level kinda makes sense in an odd way :P

It makes sence for the people that are just going to drift / track it or instantly rip off the front, back and wheels to replace with after-market parts.

It also gives an easy route for after-market companies to sell alternative versions.

a pretty smart move all in all, really going out and courting the after-market tuners from the get go.

I'm not a big chris harris fan but that is a good watch.

I wonder what the little stick on the steering wheel is though, you can see it on the in car views (ie at 8min) and its fixed to the wheel as opposed to the dash where the indicators sit. :S i guess it's not cruise control so maybe head unit controls, just seems an odd place.
