I’ve got the food and water sorted now. I neglected to investigate the island offerings first time around. As you say, there is more than enough now. :p

Yea I basically put a plant bed in my sub and then grew all my food out of that from collecting seeds off the island. The fruit tree things even give you water as well
 
I'm struggling to find the fragments for the battery charger and it's starting to get really annoying. Anyone know if there are specific places I can go to get some?

Also figure I should start habitat building, but I don't think I have the materials to get very far.

Basically I seem to be at a point where everything is getting tedious.

If you made the compass, and using the starting pod as the main point of interest for this. But I put the rest in the spoiler incase others don't want to know, since you be finding more stuff then just the battery charger blueprints there. :p

Now I am hoping things are roughly the same for everyone but this is where I found the stuff for the battery charger. Being at the starting pod, head south roughly 450 meter or so, and down at the bottom there will be debris and a large wreck (you have to go inside the wreck, from the top), that's where I found everything for the battery charger the other day. Fair warning though, it's not shallow waters and I had to go up to the surface several times while scanning everything in the wreck and surrounding areas. Hopefully you already have the seaglide, which helped getting up to the surface quickly ! :p

Edit: I come to remember that there is a smaller debris site roughly 150 meter before and a bit to the right that might have the pieces as well, can check later once I'm home from work tonight unless you found it by then.

In regards to the habiat building, I only done a little bit to get place for more storage, the flat bit and then built three 4 cross sections on it. Nothing fancy but it somewhere to have all lockers for materials.

I was finding seaglide fragments everywhere and laser cutter fragments. Now at one point I was desperately looking for these but couldn't find them, now I'm finding loads.
I did eventually find both where you said, so thanks for that.

I know there is a flash light you can make, but can you make a head light or such too ?? Just wondering because trying to go through a cave and there is some small itsy bitsy crabs in there that keep attacking, if switching to the knife it gets pitch dark and you can't see them to hit them ! :p

Sounds like an underwater flamethrower would solve both your problems. :cool:
 
Curious about something and don't have time to test it right now unfortunately so have to ask if anyone knows here ! :p

Can you build a Scanning room on dry land and it still scans the water surrounding it ?? It's at a certain Island that you end up at following the quest line I guess you can say. Not sure if placing anything in the water around there is a good idea considering the kind of underwater creatures one can find there.
 
My base around there is about half submerged so I can drive into the moonpool (though I've tried it higher and it will lift a bit ). The locals don't seem to mind if you're base is in the shallows.
