Summer Transfer Thread 2018

I really like Wilshere as a player and want him to do well, but with the midfield options we have I can't see him getting much game time if he stayed.

I hope he goes abroad to play in Spain. We need more English players in foreign leagues learning different ways of playing to improve the national side

I cant think of a cm you have better then Wilshire? Ramsey maybe but thats debatable.

Guess other than Fred (also the name of a budgie my gran had once) there won’t be much news until towards the end, or after the end, of the World Cup. :(
 
Boring window so far but we'll world cup is on besides the Spain Portugal game it's been a bore.

Not even funny crazy transfer stories to read on twitter no plane trackers nadda :(
 
£47m for Fred does seem like a lot of money, obviously lot of potential upside with him, but plenty of risk as well given the level of compeition he has been playing against this last few years.
 
Emre Can's finally completed his move to Juve and if like me you were thinking that was a strange career move, he's getting a €16m signing on fee.

The sad thing is in the EPL that figure is actually peanuts

virtually untested youngsters go for ~£30m these days , so someone who has got titles under their belt (admittedly in the Ukraine) as well as decent CL experience (not to mention the fact as soon as Utd call the price goes up 15% or more) it isn't that bad.
