How are you weaker? Its early days for AWB but he cant be worse than what you had and Maguire is a lot better then Jones etc. Daniel James seems a bit of a low risk punt of a signing but again, he hasn't replaced anyone so there is no loss there.

They went all-in with Ronaldo hoping to win the CL. That plus all their 'free' signings have most likely destroyed any wage structure they had and now they're scrambling around trying to balance the books.

Think it's more Herrera for me. He was beneficial in quite a few games and Ole seemed to like him.

I'm not sure we're weaker as such. But if we were to lose Pogba (although you'd expect we wouldn't now since we can't replace him) then it'd be an issue as we're lacking central midfielders.

I was never convinced it was going to happen. His agent said yesterday that he doesn’t want to play in the premiership and wouldn’t be moving to Tottenham. I think it was more about generating headlines than a realistic possibility.

If UTD can’t sort a move for him with the ability to pay more and higher wages, Spurs were always going to be a remote possibility.

I don't understand the hate for him.

He can pinpoint a pass across 80 yards using his weak foot.

Name one other player never mind a centre half who can do this. There isn't one.

He can hit a free kick better than Ronaldo. He can hit penalties top bin too.

Defensively on the floor has been known to lunge in and be caught out. That is his only weak point.

He can control the ball and take players on no issues.

I still believe his best position is holding midfielder because he's wasted at centre half.

So the major flaw he has is his actual defending then?

By hopefully have a much more fluid attack which will hopefully spread goals around a lot more, rather than relying on a hoof it to Lukaku tactic which usually failed.

On the Luiz transfer i'd be happy with him at United, he was a bit of an arse in his first spell at Chelsea but he's a lot more reliable now. Yeah you're not getting a long term player but he's better than Arsenals other CB's
