To all the Liverpool fans who won't have a clue about Andy Lonergan, he isn't fit for League 2! Woeful keeper. I thought Richard Wright, Scot Carson, Rob Green, Lee Grant to the big Prem teams was bad but this one takes the biscuit!

I thought he played well pre-season, and is our third choice really.

Paul Rachubka would have been probably worse signing but how he is in the Prem is criminal!

4th choice. Innm Klopp already said that Kelleher is number 2 while Alisson is out - Klopp just loves having 3 keepers at all times.

You'd have to be an idiot to put Maguire in this liverpool team. We play a high line and Maguire is slow even for a CB, even slower than Lovren. He would be a disaster so of course I wouldn't swap the 2.

Better than Adam Bogdan anyway. That guy was stealing a living as a goalkeeper.

He's not that slow and he's a far better defender.

Baffles me we didn't get him back on loan when it was clear as day he was an option.

He's a Liverpool fan. The back he refers to "him back" means there are very few clubs it could be and he doesn't strike me as either an Inter or Vasco da Gama fan

lol well it was only Spurs and Arsenal that were interested in him. I think Spurs needed him more than arsenal as we already got pepe

Liverpool, imo we do need him or a creative midfield player for depth, we were linked just not by credible people his agent mentioned us that's about it.

Its gutting knowing he has gone on a loan and not us

I dont even think we were in for him anyway. People seem to forget how he left the club, Klopp isnt the type to let that slide.

I know Sanchez has been a disaster for Utd but at what point does it make sense to just keep him? According to the article below, Inter are trying to take him on loan and only offering to pay around £50k of his £400-500k per week wages, with Utd hoping Inter will pay around £100k. Surely at that sort of level you just keep him, if only to prove a point that they won't just bend over and take it - if they accept this sort of **** take loan then you can guarantee that it'll be the same next summer and for every remaining year of his contract.
