Barcelona have pulled more levers on their future income than a railway signalman. They have very little spending money and need to ship out at least a couple of high earners.Where theres a will, theres a way
Ditto. I could have understood if Utd said pay half his wages, £70k, but I honestly thought he was on north of £100k a week. Still hopefully a loan with an option/obligation to buy? £80m and he's failed to live up to that fee so hopefully he'll get loaned out with a view to a permanent deal for that club or someone else if he can impress. Would be annoying if he started to perform for another club but then that might be due to lower expectations and a lower profile club?£70,000/week. Thats chump change. I assumed he was on double that.
Even if it were true, who would be willing to pay even those wages for that dumpster fire of a player.
Come on, hes not that bad. £70k/week is really nothing for a PL player and he certainly is good enough for a PL team. Just not a good one at the moment.
i actually like the lad, he's got a bit of fight about him but i have to agree, he doesn't appear to be PL quality. He is that bad and he probably isn’t good enough for a PL team.
If he played like in the FA cup final, definitely. I hope there’ll be more developments with our remaining targets this week, perhaps a sale or two evenThere was no chance we'd ever pay 20m for him. If he was available super cheap I'd take him as a backup if we couldn't afford options.
Any player capable of the performance he put in again Brighton at the end of the season deserves to be driven back to Manchester Airport. At least when Mctominay plays he starts out the way and pops up with the odd goal. His fa cup performance was more to do with ten Hag finally recognising he had to shore up midfield. If he played like in the FA cup final, definitely. True, he is pretty inconsistent.Any player capable of the performance he put in again Brighton at the end of the season deserves to be driven back to Manchester Airport. Let's get some money for Scott and see if we can bring in another athletic tackler and give Toby Collyer done game time.
