Barcelona have pulled more levers on their future income than a railway signalman. They have very little spending money and need to ship out at least a couple of high earners.

Barca have had no money for years and have managed. They will just kick the can down the road a little further if they need to. Sell their children or something.

Ditto. I could have understood if Utd said pay half his wages, £70k, but I honestly thought he was on north of £100k a week. Still hopefully a loan with an option/obligation to buy? £80m and he's failed to live up to that fee so hopefully he'll get loaned out with a view to a permanent deal for that club or someone else if he can impress. Would be annoying if he started to perform for another club but then that might be due to lower expectations and a lower profile club?

I'm pretty sure the wage is wrong, it's also ESPN so I'd believe it as much as my neighbour saying he was in a taxi with ETH and saw a text over his shoulder saying he was offering Antony out on loan.

Come on, hes not that bad. £70k/week is really nothing for a PL player and he certainly is good enough for a PL team. Just not a good one at the moment.

Romano reporting that United aren’t willing to pay the release clause for Amrabat, so it’s back to Fiorentina he goes. Personally I didn’t think he did enough in a United shirt. I thought Sabitzer was far better and left at the end of his loan spell.

There was no chance we'd ever pay 20m for him. If he was available super cheap I'd take him as a backup if we couldn't afford options.
If he played like in the FA cup final, definitely. I hope there’ll be more developments with our remaining targets this week, perhaps a sale or two even

Giving players loan trials would be an epic way of doing things from a club POV, wonder if that’ll be more common with PSR. You play the loan fee which would be lower than the players initial payment if over multiple years and pay full wages. Works out, you sign them if not back they go. Could work, would require the selling club to be in a bit of a pickle though.

Any player capable of the performance he put in again Brighton at the end of the season deserves to be driven back to Manchester Airport. At least when Mctominay plays he starts out the way and pops up with the odd goal. His fa cup performance was more to do with ten Hag finally recognising he had to shore up midfield.If he played like in the FA cup final, definitely. Agreed with Collyer and I’d add Maximilian Oyedele to the mix too. I’d be pleased to see the back of McT and we may actually get decent money for him.
