lol about Partey - such a good player (at times) but man he just has those lapses and then is always injured. Merino looks imminent and then, as you say, Eddie out and Gyokeres in seems to be the main noise. Would be a pretty good summer, although I still think we lack a little depth...it seems each season we are increasing the quality but seem to be selling a player, so not improving depth.
 
Seems there was some sort of player swap with cash between Liverpool and Newcastle prior to them sorting their psr issues (Gomez and 30 million for Gordon). Of course that now means weeks of transfer rumours about Big Joe from twitter blurts looking for hits...
 
I saw a stat today, dont know how true it is, that there is only 1 team in the top 5 european leagues, who havent bought a player yet this summer. Liverpool.
 
Desperately need more defenders. Been watching the pre-seasons and it is still a clown show at the back, absolutely hopeless defending with Maguire, Evans, AWB, LIndelof.

Looking good going forward, especially Amad, but this season will be just as terribad as the last if we don't clear out the defence. Anything would be an improvement, these two lads from Bayern would be a start.

I thought he was pretty solid, looks assured, England player and knows the league. He won't be cheap!

My main reservation with De Ligt is his injury record, he's a good defender. Mazraoui is decent too.
