Summer Transfer Thread 24/25

I mean, its the same with most contracts. If you show yourself to be worth more than you are being paid then its in both parties best interests to negotiate a new one that satisfies both of them. Would you put in a shift if all your mates you were carrying at work were getting paid between 2x and 4x your salary?

At this point it feels we may as well just replace ETH with Koeman.

It's like when you joke someone should buy all the English players so you get them playing in a cohesive manner week in week out to be ready for tournaments. Only with the dutch!

We've only got 4 of his ex players. Theres still loads more to collect!

I am worried about our lack of signings.

It’s clear we need a defensive mid and centre back as a minimum.

I don’t want to see us use Mac an Sobo as dm any more it’s wasting there ability going forward.

De Ligt, Zirkzee and Malacia are the only Dutch players in our squad. Lol.

If you mean getting Ajax players it is no different to Liverpool raiding Southampton and Brighton. Even former Ajax players is only 4 in the squad. (5 if you count Eriksen)

The difference is it seems like United get the unproven scraps whereas Pool get the cream of the crop.

Liverpool bought Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Lallana, Mane and VVD from Southampton. At the time Mane was top quality but even VVD was hugely unproven at the time.

It also wasn't a bad thing as at the time Southampton's youth academy and eye for players was the best in the country and Ajax have always had a knack of finding the best players in the world.

Looking like old Marmalade from valencia has legs, tbh when I saw the rumour a few weeks back I didn't think much of it largely due to the loaning him out straight away (wonder if the bournemouth element is true). Makes sense though, get a guy in who will take Ali's spot in a few seasons.

It doesn’t make sense to me, we have Kelleher and it doesn’t look like he is going any where least from what I last read.

Our youth options seem high regarded too.

Surely even you can admit that's Liverpool's signings have been better than United's over the last decade?
